Loved it but only disappointment is I thought

Lord Bolton's betrayal of Robb would feel more personal and less perfunctory. Looking forward to some comeuppance now for Frey and the Lannisters, though!

I truly loved and hated that episode. Totally emotionally gutted. I've watched most of these episodes more than once, but I don't think I'll be doing that one again. Totally powerful and great acting all around. I couldn't sleep last night after watching it and have done jack **** at work all day cause its the only thing I've been thinking about. SOB the poor Starks could use a break. I'm guessing the next five episodes will be Sansa crying again... :pfft:

Once the doors closed I knew bad things were coming, but I was holding out hope Cat at least would have been kept as a prisoner or at the very least Arya would have been able to make it over to release the wolf. Total gloom and doom episode. The suckiest part is poor Cat not knowing the fate of all of her children before her end. I think I'm actually glad next week is the finale cause I need a break!! :lol

I don't know...Bolton was always portrayed as a cold one, I think it was just about right for his character.

I'm thinking you'll be waiting until next season for any significant comeuppance.

You'll be let down, cause I think so far in the books they get away with it. I mean Tywin gets killed but that's separate from the Stark issue. It's messed up cause the creator says the books are about the stark kids but it seems he just wants it to be about the suffering and death of them.

this is why i'm glad i stopped reading after book 1

the emotions i felt from being blindsided by the red wedding were both gut wrenching and incredible. the fact that a tv show has made me feel this way is satisfying on a level that is very hard to explain, but i am sure most of you understand

what a night

From who? Not the Starks, that's for sure.

The remaining Starks:

Jon Snow: Way north and alone again. Not very useful at the moment.
Bran and Hodor!: Heading north.
Rickon and Nyphadora Tonk: Rickon's not old enough to even any scores. There's off to hide somewhere safe (good luck with that).
Aria Stark: When she's older she will definately go after some payback. But she needs her Jedi skills first.
Sanza: If she grows a backbone she's in the best position to do something useful. Basically it's Sansa or nobody.

I think the Lanisters and Freys are quite safe until Daenerys crosses the Narrow Sea. Now they are free from the Northern Rebellion they may turn back to picking on each other.

As I've said, I haven't read the books so this may sound crazy :dunno but I was thinking if Bran is part Wog and has telepathic powers wouldn't you think if he honed his power he could control Daenerys' dragons if they were to meet up in the future??

Possibly, but they might not ever meet up, at the moment they're almost as far away from each other as they could get.

Rewatching the red wedding bit again...god, when the Lannister song starts playing. That moment is just pure perfection. Dreadful, foreboding perfection.

I feel like I've been mentally raped. Nothing will ever surprise me again.

This show borders on really freaking stupid. I'm really not sure why I continue to watch this crap. Pretty sure this show is making me never want to read the books either. Who the frak wants to see the bad guys win all the time?

Good point about Bolton.

This late into the season, definitely assuming any comeuppance will have to wait. I get that it won't be the Starks that personally get revenge (at least not until way later). I had read in Wikipedia that the Freys do suffer as a result of violating the tradition of safe conduct when one family is at the home of the other, though. And we still have Catherine's revival to look forward too, along with Joffrey's and Tywin's death, so at least their family suffers some reversals.

This is so totally true.. I read this other story once (I think maybe there was a movie too) where these 4 little harmless guys were being chased all over the countryside by at least twice as many of these evil horse guys, one of them even gets stabbed and nearly dies, then just when you think they're safe, right back into the wilderness. They nearly die of exposure, then their best friend does die in these creepy mines, then another of their friends goes nuts and then he dies too, then they're attacked and split up, and the two main guys get stuck with this murderous little loony wretch who, of course, betrays them. The rest is starvation, captivity, torture, poisoning (by a big a$$ spider if you can believe it...) At the end, the main good guy even goes a bit crazy himself, and the world only gets saved by accident when the really bad little crazy guy attacks the main little guy who just went crazy...:gah:

I mean who comes up with this stuff? For a story to be really good, the heroes should be winning at least 1/2 the time, it's only fair... :lecture

:wink1:

I'm pretty sure things will even out at the end. :wink1:

Biggest mind f_ck in a TV show IMHO is still the third season finale of BSG where they find Earth and it's a burnt nuclear wasteland.

And Cersei gets taken down a few pegs as well
