B looks cool, what you gonna do to em?

Yes, mod B; closest to accurate, will require minimal modification. Just mod the eyes a little and you're pretty much done.

The others would require cutting/grinding away parts and possibly some resculpting...

Im glad you said B because thats the one im useing at the mo.
By the way Mc stands for McDonalds, B burger king, T tomy and you all know the Hasbro version. Im going to make a mold of the B version, all one peice and they just require painting from you.

I only have the super Luke and Han helmets and my wife says i cant have them until christmas, im 37. Dinners ready, ok i coming-see what i mean.

I'd forgotten this thread was here - thought all these things had been moved over to "SW Customs"

Here's my Bashed Sandie at the moment.

I think I'll let him keep the Marmit Helmet and weather it to match as I have 5 SS helmets on order with Toy Anxiety so one of them will fit the True Type Body the Marmit Armour is on.

The other two Hasbro's in the picture are getting pretty much the same treatment, but this time on True Types (also coming from TA, along with feet and a few armour bits 'n' bobs)

I've learnt a lot weathering this fella (He was my first, Ahhhh... young love!) So I think I'll do the other two a lot more subtle!

If they turn out OK, I'll do the same to my Marmit, Medi & the SS ones I have on order - should be a nice little squad.

Then I just need to attack the Dewback! :horror

your bashes and customs look great.

out of curiousity, are you really saving that much by doing these? the storm trooper heads probably costing you what $20 each, plus some funds for the body plus the funds for the Hasbro armor. Sure its not just more cost effective to pick up whole SSC troopers?

For you guys in the USA ssc figures are cheap compared to the UK. We pay double what you do, so ss figures are not the cheaper way to go. Import tax and our coverment rip you off for everything.

Thanks Prog!

Hadn't really thought about the cost, it was a fun project with bits I had laying around... now I'm doing three troopers the total costs involved are:

1 x Truetype Narrow = £20
1 x Truetype Regular = £17
3 x Sideshow Helmets = £27
3 x Abdomin Armour = £9
2 x Shoulder Bells = £6
2 x Sideshow Boots = £9.50
2 x Sideshow Neck Seals = £2.50
1 x Sideshow Backpack = £12
2 x Sideshow Shoulder Ammo packs = £5
1 x Hasbro Trooper boxed = £10

Shipping £30

Total of £148

The Medi Body was donated by by Dorgmal along with the medi shoes and hands
Crimsonbob gave me one of the Hasbro troopers, the other one came with my Dewback (which was cheap) so he felt like a freebie!

So all in all I'll have spent about £150 ($250) and will end up with 3 unique troopers. Seeing as buying a Sideshow trooper new in the UK cost about £90-£100 (with shipping and taxes) it's not a bad deal (So long as you can beg borrow or steal a lot of the bits like I have) But Dorg C-Bob and myself seem to have an ongoing "Swap Shop" which I guess anyone on this forum could also do.

Not forgetting this is a lot of fun!

Theres still a few SS stormtroopers at forbiddenplanet.com for £60 inc P&P i brought 1 the other day. The only problem i had was it had painted hands, but i contacted FP and they said they would contact SS for me to get replacements. Im gonna start using FP.com more their customer service is great.
