Cheers Flosi! It still looks a bit oversized (I may trim it some more) but I think with the rest of the armour in place, then the fun part - weathering - done, this could look like a nice figure.

As time goes on I'm feeling more love for these old Hasbro figures, it was a simpler time, we weren't all so cynical and jaded... half the fun is taking a £10 hunk of junk and making something you can be proud of, as opposed to dropping £100+ and going, "Well, it looks OK if you squint... in a dark room, and spend another £50 replacing bits and re-painting stuff...

Ahhh, listen to the old woman moan, I'll be ordering my Orange Sandie later just like the rest of you, still be nice to think it was perfect... dream on

I find it strange, the newfound love for Hasbro. You guys should have been around in the early years of SS SW. Talk about people ripping Hasblo a new one every day.

Now, judging by the plethora of Hasbro threads around here, a certain nostalgia has returned.

Just need to sort the upper arm armour and weather the hell out of him now.

Now I'm on a scrounge... If anyone has a spare set of SS Shoulder Bells, Marmit Helmet, Marmit Backpack or Medicom Trooper shoes, they will help finish this little fella off - obviously I'd pay, let me know if anyone can help!

Quite a nice squad coming on, this guy, my medi, TT slim Marmit, SS Sargeant & just ordered the orange one too! (probably cancel him and order from forbidden planet when they list himas he's working out to £100 buying direct! Ouch!)

Thanks for the offer Dorgs! Shoes would be great and hands... They are a bit small but if you want to chuck a pair this way I can experiment on weathering on them! BTW I'm going to post you a box of goodies this weekend so depending on postal strikes you should have some stuff to play with next week!

Got a Marmit AT-AT driver for a board member as payment for a gonk I made her a while back..... Marmit ROCK. never had one before and they are great.

I like it, but I think I'm going to hold out for a Marmit helmet (if I can find one!!!) I have a spare SS Han/Luke Helmet I'm planning on using at the moment, I'll see how that goes.
