I already have the Biollante re-release from a few years ago. It’s still boxed so idk if I sell that one and get this new one or what.
I am liking the new Godzilla, it's a nice evolution of the the classic details with a more updated realistic look. Shin was one that had to grow with me, that is one ugly creature

When you say new, you just mean light up correct? I have compared pictures to the previous release and it's exactly the same. Same size as well.

I’m not sure, but the paint looks different too. It’s the same sculpt though for sure.

I agree, it's actually my first Godzilla statue. I was looking hard at the Prime 1 pieces, but went with this. Cannot wait for it to ship.

Omega Beast, but I heard it may be a collab with X-Plus. We’ll see when it’s officially announced.

Omega Beast has some really great stuff. It feels weird now that $1,000+ pieces are becoming the norm
As much as I love Godzilla, I can never afford one. I just hope X-Plus works on more interesting poses.
Kind of disappointed by that '98, to be honest. It just doesn't evoke the feel of the film creature for me. I've been more impressed by independent sculpts.
The Kiryu is phenomenal, though. Speaking of which, Uman Studio is coming out with a statue of the 2003 version:
