Like many people I received my Red XIII with a broken tail and scratched paint, here is the repair I made.

In the eyes of a professional repairer, it may not be perfect, but I am satisfied with the result.

GameToys just released their Hollow Ichigo figure. Don't think they have any other figure besides Cloud and Sephrioth on their upcoming so Cloud will most likely be next on release.

People complain about Play Arts Kai but at least Cloud looks like Cloud.

VTS figure is one giant yikes. The height isn't even the issue: it's the bad hair sculpt sitting very high atop his giant egg-head.

Just got my PAK Aerith today and there's zero QC issue on it. Sad this didn't happen with Tifa.
To my surprise, I really like it. The only thing that bothers me a little is the hight especially when standing near Tifa.

People complain because the only figure that looks like the char is cloud and only because it went through a lot of updates and changes
Also because of the constant QC issues and crazy prices

VTS did nothing wrong, the figure looks almost like the prototype in my opinion they just delivered what they promised, honestly I don't know what you guys were expecting... Maybe a final miracle change on the sculpt??

It looks great, the issue I think everybody has is that Cloud is about a foot taller than he should be (in scale).

As a stand alone figure representing Final Fantasy 7 and Cloud specifically, it is a great representation. Not to say it doesn't have technical flaws in its design and execution, but that can be said about any figure really.

This is the Former 1st Class Soldier - Collector's Edition made by VTS Toys. The figure is awesome in my opinion. Is it out of scale to 1/6 figures? Yes, not sure what the logic was with VTS Toys making Cloud so tall , standing at 13.5", so my solution is to just display this guy on his own shelf alone, can't have him looking like a giant next to other figures. Another issue worth noting is that the wrist joints are not strong/tight enough to support the weight of the Buster sword when trying to get dynamic poses. As far as the tailoring of the garments and accuracy of the molded plastic pieces(the harness, left shoulder armor, boots, sword), VTS did a good job(I really like the tailoring on the turtle neck sweater especially). The headsculpt is decent but could benefit from a better paint job on the hair. Overall I am glad that I purchased the set.​

In comparison to the VSToys Nanaki, how do you think it'll be side by side with the new Red XIII by play arts kai? Think the differences will be negligible or will it be pretty obvious?

After having spent hours fiddling around with VTS Cloud, I'm finally happy with how it looks.

- Naked Snake legs & crotch joint [simple mod required]
- TFA Cap boots
- Hot toys ankle pegs [ones with black rubber covering the mid section]

It does look so, but is actually much in scale with other figures now (not sure how tall cloud should be).
His highest spike is at 12.6" Here's with the leg he came with and Leon.

Yes, swapped the legs, crotch joint and new boots.
Here is a good reference if you are willing to go the route I took :

The thing you should be aware is that none of the body parts are compatible between HT and DAM (I tried).
So the easiest way is to separate the hip from the body and swap out the legs and crotch joint connecting them.
The mid section of HT joint (red circle) is bigger than Dam so it has to be trimmed down.
