Display cases, shelves, etc?

Hey guys, kind of a new member here.

I have the 1/4 batman preordered and id like to get a shelf or a case to have him displayed. I was told to get the detolf case from ikea, but shipping is insane!

I collect video game statues as well, well I sold most of them and only kept 3 that I really like. So I sort of need a case or a shelf that can accomodate:

1/4 batman
3 video game statues, along with their steelbook, and boxes.

I know a detolf can accomodate and fit all 4, but damn... That shipping is more than the detolf itself...

Is there a detolf alternative with free or cheap shipping?

unless you live nearby an IKEA store your kinda out of luck. Display cases are heavy, which means huge shipping costs. I live in upstate NY and drove nearly 6 hours down to Pittsburgh to the IKEA store and bought 3 detolfs

IKEA really seems to be the only place where you can find the type of cases suitable for figures and statues and if you do happen to find anything else the shipping will always do you in

Sigh..

I was wondering if anyone has bought any sturdy shelves via amazon? There are a couple of shelves for 30-60. My links above dont work, not sure why...

You'd be lucky to get any 1:4 item on those.
Shame you haven't got an Ikea locally, I've been twice in two days.
If you can hit Ikea forget the Detolf and look into Besta.

Everyone seems to recommend ikea... No one has bought bookcases from amazon?

I like that second unit, but it doesn't look like there's nearly enough space between shelves to fit a 1/4 scale figure. Batman is what, 18+ inches? If a bookshelf is what you are looking for, maybe check out a Target if you can't get to an IKEA. I love my Detolf, and if I collected 1/4 scale, I'd definitely get a Besta.

Thanks. Im planning to put my 1/4 batman on top of the bookshelf. Is that a good idea?

Yeah, thats the easiest way! But I am not gonna do that because the bat and statue to ex to get covered by some dusts and risky when you clean them. Sometimes, too much direct sunlight there.....

Chipboard as bookshelf is not bad but find the adjustable ones so you can use it in the future. If you can, try to buy acrylic and DIY cut it or else ask some workshop to do it and dont forget to fix the edge because it will be sharp as knife. Acrylic for door will be nice then combine with anti-dusts on the side. Dont forget your LED (dont use halogen cos it will ruin your figure color). Or else, cut the acrylic-glue it like fish tank and cover it on top of the shelf....good luck!
