Detolf and Moving...

Hi,

Im probably getting my first Detolf this weekend and some Dioder LED strips to illuminate and it seems to probably be a decent short project to set up... so this being my first with no hands on or previous expertise im wondering what is best for moving and transporting it. Due to work i might move at the start of the new year and im wondering if i break it down to transport or do i cover it in a moving blanket and strap it in good...

i would appreciate any hands on knowledge form anyone who has gone through this act before.

I have moved twice with mine, from North Carolina to Hawaii and back. As long as you take some precautions they should be fine. I actually wrapped mine with cardboard boxes, like a cocoon, and had no issues.

I moved with 5 detofs when I moved into my house, the movers just wrapped in blankets and taped them closed. On the truck they used ratchet straps to hold them in a corner and the put the bedding between them and other furniture so they would not bang around in the truck.
