Redridge #2 continued....

Here's the initial full mock-up for the next Redridge figure.
Of course in order to make him film accurate there will
be plenty of paint apps, mods and weathering still to be done.

Patches, fur collar on flight suit and color & weathering matching
still need to be done on most everything else.

But here's how he's coming along.

Let me know what you think so far and
anything that would add or improve the character.

Thanks

Here is Redridge #2 in all his glory...:)

He's 99.99% finished, still waiting on the patches
for his flight suit. I know most people would pose
him in full outfit, but, the patches are what really
make the flight suit(besides style) film accurate.

Suppose to have them by Monday.

Hope you like him and any comments or suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Ike

Here's an update on Carnegie#3 I'm working on
for a customer.(By the way mightyq, you're PM box is full).

I finished his outfit, walking cane and did
this as the sickly, dirty, sweaty Carnegie we
see after he gets shot in the leg(hence the cane and
bloody bandage).

Though I still need to finish the boots, glasses,
canteen/flask, I think he's really starting to
look like Carnegie.

I used the HT Gordon head, modded it and gave it a repaint.
I think it really works well for Carnegie, because of the older look
to it.

Keep in mind, my light box lights burned out
so the lighting isn't that great. Hard to see the
dirty sweat lines down his face, pock marks and
gray highlights in the hair.

But here is is so far.

I think once the glasses are on, the look will be complete.

Please feel free to comment on the figure. Let me know
if I can improve on something or something I may have missed.

Thanks

Here's the finished Carnegie #3.

Still experimenting with new lighting, so still, not all the details
are showing like I want. But I am very happy with the figure
and how it turned out. I think these are the best Carnegie boots
I've done so far. I think the color & style on these come closest
to the film version of the boots than any other.

I really had fun with this one.

Though the glasses that were made originally for the figure
got ruined. I got super glue all over the lenses and
try to get it off without success. So the new glasses(which still have the correct
frame style) have lenses a little darker than I like.

I will be trying to remake some more with the proper amber colored
lenses in them.

I am still stoked about the boots and the outfit though.
Here's some prop pictures I was referencing for the figure.
Just in case someone needs it to make they're own.

I think this was the best outcome on everything to date.

Thanks for looking and comments are welcome.

Some work on the next Eli

Basic mock-up for outfit and weapons is done.
Still needs lots of weathering, the leather sheath and strap
for the machete, a few more odds & ends and of course
the DX style stand/dio.

But here he is so far. I really went for the scruffy looking
Eli this time with lots of hair patches, scaring and some discoloration
on the skin he got from the big sun event. This on top of Skiman's
already great paint app.

What do you think??

I had this idea while making another Eli figure for a regular
customer and I want to see what everyone else thinks.

I've pretty much finished the Eli figure.

Eli1_zps6eea748c.jpg

As I was making the I-POD for the figure
I ended up using very small neo magnets for
the ear buds. Though they go in the ear, the dont really
stay, as with all the I-POD's I've used.

Elisi-pod2_zps66cf6cfe.jpg

Because of that, the I-POD accessory was just for looks
and normally hung around his neck. But it is possible
to make them look like they really function if I were
to add another magnet in each ear.

The only thing is, I can paint the magnet a dark
brown, but they will still be noticable when the
ear buds are not attached and the paint tends
to wear off the magnets everytime you put them
together.

So is that something that would bug you, or would
you actually like the ear buds to be able to attach
to another magnet in the ear?

Let me know what you think. I would love to do
it, but some people are very picky about how the
figure heads looks.

So chime in with your thoughts.

Thanks

Ike.
