Clash of the titans remake

A great line up. IMO Krull was ok, but the other three splendid.

I rather enjoyed the Krull back when the day when I was young and innocent, and I didn't know the movie was supposed to suck. Need to add Excalibur to the list of great 80s sword and sorcery flicks as well.

I'm not liking the feel of this all that much. Personally I'm sick of the dark grungy look that all these recent ancient movies have had.


And he mentioned his quest was to defeat the Kraken; looks like they didn't correct any of the inaccuracies from the last film.

I like everything i have seen so far about this remake, of course its going to look dark, thats the only way to do it..and for those times, its fitting.

don't forget the a$$ shot at the end when the princess is getting out of the bath and they show the backside...niice....well nice for a 10 year old or how ever old i was....oh who am i kidding i replayed that movie at least until i was 15.

I am excited to see the remake even though, IMO, cg monsters don't compare to the classic Ray Harryhausen creations. They were works of art.
Though I would prefer it look more like the original, I understand why they chose this style. It would look too much like God of War and no one wants that...

Yea, I'm sure them there ancient times had a lot of soap and windex. How dare they be dark and grungy.

The Greeks had public baths, and although there's not much evidence of soap, they had a s--t load of olive oil which they used regularly, scraped off their skin with a strigil.
They also cleaned and polished their armor regularly.

My point is, the look of the film is dark, gritty, and colorless which I'm sure was chosen not because of historical accuracy but out of a stylistic choice.

I love the original Clash of Titans. It's definitely a classic and will be tough to top.

That being said, I'm still interested in seeing this remake and I think it has the potential to be very entertaining.

Their shiny armour looks really different than the darker one Sam Worthington wears and gives them more... Godliness (is that a word? )
