Still not understanding the "pumpkin" remark. Unless it was a jab at SmallStudios' paint apps, I haven't the slightest clue WTF he was talking about. Anakin didn't look like a pumpkin at all and neither do Duke or Flint.

I'm still trying to figure that out myself.

I think he will be. Sideshow is really pretty damn awesome with the Clones. Everything outside of the 501st has been a Albert Pujols blast.

Ah, no....Small studios does an amazing job......I have had 7 repaints done by Josh and never once did they look anything other than fantastic. There were some that commented about the proto Cody human pic, but it looked spot on to me.

I was actually referring to the Stormie Han production paint app with orange hue and literally orange eyebrows........incredible sculpt with subpar production paint

Give me any delay needed to pump out a great product. If it takes until next SDCC to get something that looks damn near perfect without strange skin tones, flat paint for the hair or wonky eyes then I'm all for it.

As for the HT argument, the armored figures are HT collborations and if you had them doing it adding in the LFL licensing fees not to mention whatever fees you'd have to add in payable to Hasbro, I'm sure you'd be looking at the most expensive HT figures reaching into the $200s no problem. People would be complaining that their Captain Rex cost more than their Batpods.

Nope. The only issue I had with mine was some yellow got into the teeth and eyes making them look like tired smokers. The headsculpts themselves were FAR from orange. And if you're still hung up on figures that came out over 2 years ago, considering there've been a whole slew since, that's pretty ____ing sad, wouldn't you say?

How so? Not like the paint app quality has become more consistent in that two years.......anyway, we will have to agree to disagree.

Whatever... I still think it was a jab, like the earlier ones in this very thread, at Rex's paint job. The others completely change their tunes too and attempted to pawn it off on other figures when they found out Rex was done by an artist who frequents this forum regularly.

I'll say this much: if Sideshow comes back with an incredible paint job along with their excellent sculpt, I'll be happy!!

In the end we all want the same thing: a kick butt 1:6 figure!

From what I have from SS from a few years back (Mace,QuiGon, Maul, and Luke and Han in disguise) and the new Joes that are coming out now, SS has gotten a lot better.

I actually found Qui-Gon to have pretty nice paint apps, actually. Maul was also excellent.

Every piece is hit and miss, there isn't a huge streak of good or bad. That is the Russian Roulette that is Sideshow ordering. Can't wait for it to arrive....eventually.

^^^^Which makes me wonder why he doesn't come with a ROTS 501st helmet like CC comes with a AOTC helmet.

I thought there might have been an update on the release of Rex and that he was going to make it out this year when I saw new posts, ah well.

Not many of us were questioning this. Most of us already knew. Anakin's group is the 501st and Obi Wan's the 212th. And I suspect that the reason we don't see Rex in the new bucket is either he dies before the transition or new continuity through the TV show will have him too stubborn to change it. Either way, we know he dies before ROTS.
