And I'm a little miffed about the painted dome on R2. So my cheap-ass Gentle Giant 12-inch vintage R2 has a vac metal dome but the potentially $700 PF doesn't?

Hell even the Viper trooper from the Joe line had the vac metal face plate.
These minor details always...in my opinion...plague SSC productions. Its very rare they nail it perfectly with all details . It drives me crazy

Will probably pass on R2 with that cheap looking dome. C3P0 looks real good, at least in the preproduction phase

I thought the whole neck area looked kinda large....Damn, if these two aint perfect in every possible way, gonna have to pass. Can't accept flawed PFs for $800 a set....

It's got to have something to do with how it was shot. It looks fine in the pre production video and it looks fine in the teaser photo. At least I hope it turns out like the photo and the pre production video. Because it does look really off in that video. Perhaps it's the EX peanut head 3PO


Anyways he and R2 look perfect in this picture.

Someone who can do screen grabs should compare the two and go ask Sideshow what the deal is. I just watched the video again and his head and neck are swimming in that collar ring.
