Thanks for posting available again. I have one I bought direct from SS when available at pre-order, but I had a friend who was interested. Looks like I got the last one as it is out of stock again. Maybe someone cancelled or had a credit card decline. Hope it's all fine as it's not for me. Pricing is a little ridiculous from Midtown. $27.60 to NJ. Can't be much closer. But still even with extra shipping still saving $85 over what I initially paid.

Arkham City Batman rework and upgrade.

Shaved the side of the inner body so that his arms can lay closer to his body.
Repainted the suit and added damages to get rid of the vinyl look of the suit.
Lowered and repainted the belt.
Repainted the boots, gauntlets, cowl and cape black and added some damages to the gauntlets and boots.
Changed the feet with the HT Briaeros looks more in scale.

Hey elvis that looks amaizing what type of paint do you use for figures in general acrylics? Enamels? Air brush and or brush?

I'm not Elvis but when I was making my Halo costume for Halloween a couple of years ago, one technique I learned was to take a metallic paint, put it on the brush and brush against the edges to make a weathered look:

Sorry that it's filtered, I couldn't quickly find the original but I plan to do with when mine comes in because I love that look on the gauntlets and the boots.

Was the battle damage done on the shin guards done by applying a coat of metallic paint then painting over it with black then scratching off the black paint to show the metallic underneath????? Anyone?

I'm not Elvis either but a simple drybrush over the gauntlets worked wonders for me. It's not as elaborate as you'd think.

Yes ive done what you said on my hot toys vader belt boxes but paint comes off as i touch after letting it sit for 1 hour or 2. I used a metalic silver enamel but ribs off. Any idea what type of paint i could use that is best for this technique???

How may i post pics throufh here? Kind of new to this. Getting the hang of it though. Thanks for the reply.

Only use a small amount of paint, wipe off the excess paint off the brush by brushing it onto a piece of paper and weather away. Normally it would stick but if it doesn't, use a sealer.

Ah i see. Do you use acrylic or enamel paint?

Elvis uses acrylic (as do I and many others).

To get the effect you see on the shin guards it's as simple as applying silver paint with a tiny brush.

Personally I like Vallejo for most colours although for metallics I prefer Tamiya (both are acrylic).

Tamiya paint is quite thick though so I thin using Tamiya X20a thinner (helps it dry faster too)
