With them not announcing Ep 2 Obi now, how possible is it that we still get him sometime in the future? Anyone think they could still announce him sometime next year even though the Ep2 anniversary year will obviously be past?

This probably means never. It’s been years and still no clone wars kenobi after that great prototype. Hot toys has a habit of not completing a set and this will be another example.

I’ll probably get suckered into getting this. Even though AOTC isn’t my favorite Star Wars film this is a distinct look for Anakin and will pair well with Padme and other characters from the film.

Happy they're making this for the folks that want it, but I have no interest. I only need 1 Ani and I have the ROTS version, which is the only version I think I'd want. Besides, wouldn't this pretty much be the same but just a different head (and of course lightsaber hilt)? His outfit is the same.

I hope there’s a deluxe set with two heads. Anakin had a face like thunder most the time so we’ve gotta have the option to display him either peeved or having a full blown tantrum.

I will also accept the creepy sex-pest stare.

Oh man, I hope you’re right. They’ve got some of the frame already with the swoop bike that just came out. They would just need to change the colors. Seems like an easy money maker for them.

Here we go again, overpaying an insane amount of $$$ for another Hot Toys set.

better make preparation in advance, my prediction ratio so far has proven to be > 90% correct. I've foreseen this version of Anakin inevitably coming with Padme for years.

Though I don't think they're real great films, the PT has some amazing designs that make perfect toys. From Maul and Battle Droids in Episode 1, to Jango and the clones in Episode 2, to Grievous and Anakin/Obi-Wan in Episode 3 and back to TCW for even more Jedi, clone and droid designs. One of the many reasons why PT merchandise sells so well.
