Hmmm...I don't know. Fett doesn't strike me as the type the would be hitting the intergalactic laundromat after every job...but maybe that's a story I missed somewhere along the line.... :)

I was pretty excited for Leia, but I'm almost more excited for this now. Gonna look pretty awesome on the shelf. Will maybe plop him next to the Sandtrooper on a couple of sand bases.

Bossk and IG-88, nice! Are they good figures in hand?

Yes. They look great.

Have to concur with jedijim. Never had Bossk, though I always thought he looked pretty awesome.

But I had IG-88 briefly and thought he was awesome with the legs extended. With the legs collapsed he didn't look right to me. Difficult figure to display in a detolf--the awesome stand they included makes him too tall. Ultimately I just decided I would stick with Boba only as far as the bounty hunters go--and maybe Boushh.

I'm looking forward to this...but I'm not tossing away my Sideshow version...I still like the way that one displays.

I agree. Not 100% on this one yet but I will be keeping my SS. He looks good with the SS Vader, Boosk and IG88 the way I have them set up.

Then I can agree on Bossk as I've never had IG-88. Bossk looks awesome on the shelf, and if you can get him with the EX head he looks even better.

Wow, awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing.

Fett is ****tin' himself under that helmet. Beautiful pics.
So who kept SS Fett for a side-by-side comparison?
I'm on the fence having the SS one (and a few other things to pay for).

I have a feeling I know where my $50 in RP is going.

They aren't really close matches to the onscreen characters, but they are awesome figures in their own right.

Interestingly, he doesn't have legs extended in the movie (he's standing on a step down so it's hard to see) - I think the extension thing was a Hasbro 90's invention. Even though the head's not very accurate, it's one of my favorite 1/6 light-up features.

Agreed. Hasbro invented the extending legs to enable the figure to fit in their standard sized box.

I'm keeping my SS as I've modded him so much I'm not sure how I'd get back what I put into it.

I likely won't have to mod anything on this new Fett which is why I love these hot toys versions so much. Good straight out of the box. They look even better with the mods everyone here has done but I like mine well enough original.

I'll be doing some side by side comparison shots as well before I decide to send him to "the bay"! I've always liked the ESB version of Fett better. Don't know why. Just do. But this looks too good to pass up.

That's it, I can't take it anymore. I'm going to break the HT Star Wars seal with this. The question is do I want the sarlacc base or not. On the fence on that part.

I've been eyeing that Sandtrooper too. Looks awesome.

The Sarlacc base doesn't seem popular, but for an extra twenty quid I can't see why you wouldn't it. You get an extra, very cool display option - flying Fett - and a base that looks like it could easily be modded to remove the beak and teeth - you could even just stick rocks over them! - leaving you with a base that doesn't look like a rockery for baby Audrey 2.
