1/6 ANH Red Squadron Kitbash/Custom pilots

Here are a few pictures of Red Saquadron that I have been working on. I have(from left to right) Wedge Antilles, Luke Skywalker, Garven Dreis and John D. Brannon.

Not quite finished, I need to touch them up and finish a few details.

I know Lord Dorgs has done some bashed pilots, has anyone else?? I would love to see some pictures.

So what are you using for your bashes there Chaka? Just a Hasbro Luke X-Wing suit and reapinted Tomy helmets?

Yes. the Tomy helmets really make these look great. I also used Dragon bodies, Dragon boots, and the gloves are from Commander Praji. The heads are just random TT, DiD and Dragon heads.

I also tore apart the Hasbro vests and reworked them so they are more realistic. I plan on painting more on the helmets and adding the "bullet" like rounds to the belts. I may add a holster to a couple of them.

Thanks so much. Yes, Biggs is next on my list actually. I have been trying to find a Tomy Biggs helmet ofr ages, so far no luck.

Top banana Chakaman. I love your Squadron. The vests take so long to do don't they.
I wish I had a spare Tomy helmet and it would be yours my friend.
I love your Garven Dreis my R5-K6 would go really well with him.

Thanks Dorgmal, no worries. I appreciate it. Im sure I will track a Biggs helmet down sometime. I havent seen one available for ages though.

That R5 droid would look great with Red Leader, why dont you send it to me? He will still be yours, but just in my display. Sound goood??

I would love to see your squad pictures when you get them done. You need to get on that, its not like you are doing anything else.

Wow guys they look great.

I dont normally go for rebels but i just love the cossies on these guys. Im in the process of buying a wedge and biggs off a fellow boardie, and ive ordered some boots, gloves and 2 tomy helms off ebay. Gonna get my sewing kit out and have some fun

I used the jacket from Luke Ceremonial, the yellow one, just dyed it with watered down acrylic paint.

that's what i thought. looks good. gona try and make a luke snowspeeder pilot but wasnt sure what to do about the jacket. might just sew or glue some fabric ribbon down the sleeves of a WW2 jacket and add the puffy collar, paint orange etc. we'll see...

So I want to do an accurate ANH (I wish I could just write STAR WARS, I know you fellas would know what I meant) X-Wing Luke.

I have a fellow board members bash coming so I'm going to start with that... looks Like Praji is going to loose his gloves. I have a farmboy Luke head ready at home as well along with a pair of DID Boots..... Going to attempt to get the buckles and other details as accurate as possible.

I used Praji gloves, Did boots, reworked vest and Tomy min helmet on mine.

I just need to figure out the belt. It looks like he has bullets on his belt, looks cool.

post some pics when you get hacking on him, would love to see how you tackle the belt.

Yeah, I have a few options for those... I might just grab a whole new Hasbro Luke X-Wing pilot to take parts from...

I really really love using the Pro body for Luke... the weak shoulders just work well IMO...
