He was for a long time, but not anymore.

I need to follow all of them, I was using a certain person who was printing and selling but they don't exist anymore. Thats how I built my Fordo and a few others.

I actually saw your post on Reddit and commented. Very excited about it, as I can't justify the cost of any of the Sideshow ESB troopers.
oh yes you did! I actually started making the snowtrooper kits after pair of bargain HT snowies went missing in the post. I knew I would not find them again at a reasonable price and the Sideshow ones are just as pricey so I am right there with you, so obviously I decided to go the DIY route. I just wish more creators would make some more obscure EU stuff. Swamp troopers would be awesome.

We honestly need more EU and just OT. At least from what I have seen it is mostly Clones. Which are my favorite but I want some other stuff.

Mine shipped from HK.

Etsy has a lot of people selling various clone or commando kits and parts of kits, and helmets. And weapons.

Speaking of which, I cant source Fordo's longer holsters ANYwhere. The blasters I got, holsters no.
I made Fordo long blasters and holsters. They are free on thingiverse/cults/printables

If they make known character exclusives I doubt we will see lower numbers then the artisan editions, so probably 2500-5000 range which is bad enough but it's not 1500 worldwide that is imo a rude number to collectors considering how huge this hobby has grown today.

I know there are products that under-perform and they get stuck with hundreds/thousands of units warming shelves in warehouses - but why intentionally limit the number of a piece like this (that any idiot could have told them would be a hot seller) and intentionally make far less money. The Bay scalpers (which probably account for half the units sold) will be making a mint on this one...

Probably an overcorrection. Hot Toys invested too heavily in Star Wars and Marvel hype, both of which died down considerably with all of the lukewarm theatrical and TV releases we've seen in recent history. Understandably, they want to produce less as they want their collectibles to be sought after and not warming shelves. These limited releases are meant to drum up quick sales to encourage customers to buy now and think later but might end up souring customers to the company overall as the tactics aren't being received favorably by many.

I'd rather they just did a short, open, pre-order window and then manufactured to order. Like InArt and other companies are doing. Hard to go wrong with that approach.

My guess this is a classic re-issue candidate. It’ll be missing the commander helmet to keep the exclusivity of this product but it’s a clone.

If not the next cool thing announced will ease people’s frustration….

Is it weird that the phase 2 helmet has the mohawk with the light on the back? have we seen that before?
There was a phase 1.5 helmet (prototype phase 2) that ARC troopers used during the clone wars when standard clones had phase 1 helmets still. Jesse had phase 2 as by that point phase 2 helmets had moved into production and were the norm.

Phase 1.5 helmets had different hack side, the p1 fin, diamond mouth piece and p1 ears. Battlefront missed some of those details but did have the diamond mouth and p1 fin but the HT figure is simply p2 helmet with p1 fin.
