This just confirms that the suit material and base body are both terrible choices for a Spider-Man figure.

I think it looks great. I would like it more muscular but I really like it.

It is what it is at this point. Why they deviated from Scarlet spider we will never know. Not gonna stop me from getting the symbiote with the bunching up.

Lens are too chrome but I don't think that's final. Outside of that...WOW. Now that's what we should have gotten out of the box.

If only that neck seam could be covered up. That would be the perfect Raimi Spider-Man figure.

If the stunt guy in that pic puffed up his chest and retracted his scapular a bit instead of standing hunched with his shoulders rounded, he’d likely expand to look more like the figure’s proportions.
Give it a try in the mirror yourself.
When I bust out a lat-spread, it’s like my entire upper torso doubles in width.

Yeah, the bulk looks really good to me, exactly what @Chopper Face said.

Anybody start getting the normal edition from sideshow yet? Mine is all paid off but the shipping.

In that photo...his shoulders are not at their full width. He is kind hunched forward and shoulders forward.

Still no "shipping soon" emails, I have one of each (regular and DX) on order.

tobey spider-man and the batman seem to be suffering the most from sideshow recently, 3 months and still not fully shipped yet

Yeah, its getting ridiculous at this point.

I can’t help it but all I see is this. Neck is too wide.

I can understand the incentive for those who want their Spider-Man to look more like the stunt double/character from the movies for more screen accuracy but for those of us satisfied with this figure as is are also looking at screen accuracy.
These are not the same person.

When Tobey is in the suit there is a noticeable difference.

He’s not as big and muscular as the stunt double. He was quite thin which is where I’m sure HT got their reference material.

With all the Tobey hype coming out from the rerelease of the films I wonder if hot toys will be smart enough to captilize off it. I know they probably won’t

Nice. You picked the one shirtless scene that all his working out is for and then doesn’t look like that the rest of the movie. Not sure you’re seeing what I see but he is muscular but not bulky like the stunt man or the custom above. Bruce Lee was muscular but not big. Same point.

Notice his torso is more boxy than V tapered like the stuntman. But it’s probably just me right?

S3 is worse cause Tobey was a bit pudgier making his midsection look like he was trying to stuff 10 pounds of sausage into a 5 pound bag. Stunt man has more of that Captain America V taper than Tobey.
