I'm so glad that cancer got out of the thread...

Once the photo of the suspension "issue" was posted, that blew their argument a new hole...

Wow, these people never seen a car on a lift...
Can we please not call other people a Cancer? I find it upsetting. I really appreciate all the support, and while I do acknowledge that we had quality control issues in the past, and I agree with Nathan on that, I still disagree about the axle issue, which is an non-issue and the fact that twice the money should get you twice the features. That is not even true in his television example.

That being said, please, let’s keep this respectful and treat other people kindly. This has only alienated Nathan from this discussion and from our company so it does not help at all.

So, let’s keep it clean and respectful and thank you all for your support.

👏👏👏

That’s certainly a classy and difficult post to follow, and I don’t expect that everyone will agree with me, but that’s fine. At the risk of seeming unsympathetic, I feel like this is something that needs to be said, harsh as it may sound.

With all due respect, and speaking only for myself, it was Nathan that alienated Nathan. To ignore this fact, IMO, only minimizes his bad behavior and, to some extent, enables it.

I completely agree that calling another human being a cancer is crossing a line. No doubt. Full stop.

However, if there’s any additional wisdom to come out of this, it’s that Nathan repeatedly offered unfounded criticism and one-sided discourse, without any of the reciprocal courtesy that goes with the listening portion of a conversation. IMO, subject matter aside, that’s what alienated Nathan. He spoke, but never listened. And when he was challenged, he insulted. It’s difficult to imagine how he was a member here for eleven years and didn’t seem to care about that.

And while I certainly believe in welcoming others, I also draw the line when it is abused. I think you have to. It’s difficult to imagine not escorting a dinner guest out of your home after they repeatedly insult your family and guests. Not that it wouldn’t be admirable and charitable to educate that person, but it isn’t fair to the others in the room to ask them to endure more of it.

If Nathan is willing to take this experience to heart and learn from this, then maybe we can try this again. If not, then I think the remaining membership here is better off without the aggravation. That was the part of the post in question that I agree with.

It is extremely regrettable that this may have cost you a customer; that is certainly a misfire and a shot in the foot of all of us. That said, this site is a pool that we all find ourselves swimming in - sellers, buyers, and enthusiasts, so it is important that we all work together to find a balance between getting along as fellow contributors, and abusing the goodwill of others wanting to help.

Again, I’m not speaking for anyone else and I mean to provide this post with the utmost respect for everyone here. It’s just my two cents and I’m certainly willing to hear any criticisms about it.

I wish I could of afforded this toy car, I like this design a lot. Mostly because it doesn't look very Batman-ish to me, but more reminiscent of something out of the Mad Max universe. I may be alone in that sentiment? Regardless, I just stopped in to see some pictures...

Sheesh... Joost put a stop to it already and in a good way but you just couldn't help yourself, could you? You can't even see your own fault in what went down. Let it go. Let's move on.

Putting it back on topic at least Batmobile related, I have high expectations that the 1989 will be Jazzinc's best product to come out yet and may be for a foreseeable future. Although at some point though, I can't see myself buying 1/6 scale vehicles as much as I did these past 3 or so years. Display space is a thing that's becoming a premium. Lol! I have the Justice mobile, batwing, this incoming, and the 1989 on PO. I still want a BTTF 2 DeLorean but unfortunately, the place I PO'd it from couldn't fulfill it. I would want to see a Jazzinc DeLorean though.

I sincerely put a great deal of time and thought into my post and I would have appreciated the same in return. Unfortunately, I got a flippant dismissal of perfectly legitimate observations, and the passive aggressive accusation that I was somehow responsible for anything other than sticking up for Joost and trying to get at the root the op’s non-issue. So much for the “being respectful and treating people kindly” post that you’re defending. All of this just proves my point about listening and the honest exchange needed between members here.

Perhaps you should consider taking over the position I’m now vacating as a supporting member. That way, you can claim some legitimacy when moderating that a conversation should be over.

Best of luck to you.

It's been disappointing to see how Danoby has created a niche cluster of toxic community members in the aftermath of the Jazz Inc stuff. I have no problem with constructive criticism, but I do have a problem with his gatekeeping what companies are good and bad under the "veteran collector" label.

Firstly, he doesn't get to define what a veteran collector is, or a collector. It has little relevance how many figures you own at one given time, how long you've been collecting or how expensive your collection is to whether you are a "legitimate" collector. His claim that these factors give him some super advanced insight into quality is fatuous.

Secondly, his constant bickering about other companies (InArt, SooSoo etc.) are not for the purpose of constructive criticism. It's quite easy to see that it isn't just for the purpose of improving products, but to stir the pot for the purpose of monetizing the outrage on his channel. He owned the Justice League Batmobile for a while, which he wasn't happy with, and he got his money back from Joost due to this. Yet, he is still on a crusade of mockingly name dropping Jazz Inc like he's still upset about a 3+ year old issue that got resolved IN HIS FAVOR. Not to mention, he's recruited collectors like Mr. Mom into similar immature behaviour where they run streams to perseverate on their personal insecurities regarding the company. It just never seems to end.

One of the most irritating parts of all this is the faux honesty they try to display. Watching clips of these guys cartoonishly claim they aren't trying to personally attack anyone while giggling amongst themselves like 15 year old bullies is beyond the pale.

I think the issue with the type of engagement you are referring to is that the conversation, despite having two plus participants, still feels one sided. Nathan made his point, got rebutted, but still continued to repeat his claim over and over and over again until his criticisms eventually turned into wild accusations against anyone that didn't agree with him. I, frankly, still can't see his issue. He purchased a product that he has decided to keep because it meets his standards to avoid returning. However, he is also making statements about how bad the company is, and how they need to up their game to meet his higher standards or reduce their margins to the point of business failure. It's just baffling.

The suspension "issue" was explained in full detail, but Nathan and a few don't find the explanation satisfactory...ok, then cancel your order and move on. Repeating that you still think it's an issue isn't going to convince anyone else. They aren't going to reengineer the entire product so it calms your own insecurities about what a hanging suspension looks like. Nathan dumping his ailments about prior products is irrelevant to the conversation about THIS particular product. That's why it doesn't come off like constructive criticism.

My experience with Jazz has been a positive one. I supported and still own the original unlicensed Batmobile that Danoby had. I haven't seen any of the sagging issues with mine, and even if I did, I would reach out to Joost because I trust that he'd at least explore options with me. I have several other Jazz products, and any issues I've had were quickly remedied. I mean, what more could you ask for?

Anyways, hopefully we can get back to the fun of collecting instead of whatever this all became....always amazes me how a few people can wind up an entire community.

I got my Batmobile delivered last Thursday but today FedEx attempted to deliver another package from Jazzinc. which weighs 2.2 pounds. I wasn't home so FedEx will attempt delivery again tomorrow. Anyone know what this package may contain? Anybody else get two shipments for the 2022 Batmobile?

So cool to get the seal of approval by Ash Thorp. His words really make my day!!:

Has anyone here put the hot toys Batman figure in the car? I don’t recall seeing any pictures of the figure in the car yet.
