I would gladly take a variant in any capacity of gambit from the animated series. I love this figure it just brings me back to my favorite cartoon.
I think Mondo has done 2 variants so far - Wolverine and Magneto.

Basically color swaps but nothing too drastic like Funko Pops with all Gold editions or glitter.

Me too.
Gambit is my fav character and this figure is just sooo good!

I wish I had gotten two of him, so I'll gladly take a non exclusive. I want one for my office.
Yeah, I was also thinking of grabbing two but decided to wait for the non-timed-edition one.
I hope that the price of the standard version is significantly lower. In Mondo's animated Harley case, the regular edition and timed edition prices are not too different. However, the timed edition version offers a lot of exclusive bonuses..

I was also fine with it until Gambit as suddenly there was no standard release, and on twitter last year when someone asked about it they were ambiguous if there ever would be a standard (though they later said they were working on it). It just took me by surprise, I guess it's all to make sure the timed version sells the maximum amount. But I agree it's fine as long as there is a standard eventually, even if they switch to only timed it's fine, but all I want is a warning first so I don't miss anything lol
Actually they confirmed they will have gambit available for pre-order next week. It's on their facebook page in the comments of their teaser image. Someone asked and they responded.

I know it's a long shot but I'd really love to see them do Charles with his yellow chair. Give it a clear rod on the bottom to make it look like it's floating. Add an effect piece on his head that makes it look like he's using his powers. Cerebro helmet included as well. Be cool to see.

Is that a different base for the Kotobukiya ArtFx Professor X?

My base looked different from what I recall - I boxed up the set (10 statues?) a few years ago when Mondo announced their X-men line.

Probably going to sell the complete set since the Mondo figures are superior. Also, Kotobukiya never released a proper Jean Grey, only in Phoenix form.

Never noticed this until I saw some click baity thumbnails in my feed but apparently, Rogue’s derrière has been made less curvaceous for the X-men 97 show.

Luckily the Mondo figure is based on the original depiction. :lol

They made her less rogue.
Could be just some isolated handpicked frames (from both shows) because I don’t recall Rogue being that curvaceous in every single scene from 1992.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets de-emphasized with less “male gaze” for the 1997 show - I’m still watching the show regardless, not one of those outrage people. :lol

Curious if Mondo will incorporate some elements from the new show into their figures - Storm’s new haircut for example as an extra headsculpt.

Hahah but I do remember them being curvy back then.
Maybe not in all cells, but definitely curvy. Still watching the show of course, I love X-Men.
Got the chance to draw a variant Magik cover for the X-Men comic last month, and I truly enjoyed it!

PO probably this week FYI EX is a must.

Oh man.. yes! EX is a must for this one!!

I believe Rogue and Gambit are both going up tomorrow.
My poor wallet.

Ugh, I really wanted to stay out of the 1/6 animated line, but I think I'm picking up Gambit and Rogue tomorrow... That Rogue EX looks like it would be all kinds of fun to pose given the different head sculpts, and at least the regular Gambit comes with the card effect swap out hands, so nothing missed there.

It's a limited edition release as well...1000 of the limited edition...and they didn't say how many of the regular edition. I hate that they didn't make it a timed edition release as there will be a risk of selling out... I would be soo angry if I couldnt get one of the editions...been waiting for rogue for a long time
