Wave 2:

“We are pleased to announce the next release of the curated product will be on April 7 at 9pm (UK time)/4pm (Eastern)/1pm (PST). Last time several items sold out very quickly so make sure you visit www.masterreplicas.com at that time to be first in line.

The April 7 release will feature a couple of Enterprises (including the XL version of the D), some rare ships from the Kelvin timeline, and some later Hero Collector releases that we know are hard to come by because they were only made in limited quantities, including the Hierarchy ship.

This release sees us expanding beyond STAR TREK to include ships from Battlestar Galactica, Alien and Stargate. We’re also offering some large Doctor Who figurines at fantastic prices so if you’ve wanted a 9” tall Dalek this is your chance.

This release will stay on sale until April 21, when we expect to have stock of some Hero Collector models that were never released and are currently making their way to us from China. And keep an eye out for an email about extra stock we’ve found for some of the rare items that were in the first release.”
 
Yesterday there was another wave. They are selling what they found in stock after Eaglemoss. It means not many pieces (but at least you can get some items you missed). They said there are some more items (even unreleasted ones) on their way from China, so fingers crossed for Serenity.

Managed to get my hands on Roci XL yesterday. There are some downfall things. The price is quite high. Well, it is the same price that Eaglemoss was selling for (I usually waited for 3 for price of 2 there to optimize the costs, not possible here), but this price does not include VAT. I thought they would lower the price for people outside GB at checkout, but now I noticed the items say they are without VAT. Not sure if they add VAT to buyers in GB, but the price is final if you order from outside GB and you will have to pay customs fees, VAT at the border in addition to the price. The price of postage is also normal (about 11 EUR), only Eaglemoss had free postage for items over 50 GBP, so XL ships had usually free postage.

Not complaining, it is what it is, new company that purchased stock of Eaglemoss and not established enough to offer discounts, etc. Really wanted Roci XL, Romulan Warbird XL and Death Glider. But had to reconsider and went with only Roci.

Congrats on grabbing the Rocinante, that one went quick.

I purchased a few items in Wave 1. I was sent a shipping notification email on March 21st with an enclosed tracking number through WHISTL and it has never worked, it shows as invalid. I reached out to Master Replicas this past week and was told there’s no need for concern, once the shipment arrives in my home country (Canada), it should update. I’m not familiar with this courier so hopefully that’s normal?

Try using this - it should track all couriers. May work there.​

But I dunno - yesterday I think that I saw "Tax not included" next to the price of every model, today I see there "Tax included". But no deduction of VAT, they let me pay all the price of the item. If Tax is included, they write in FAQ that they will charge only without VAT. Did you pay the displayed price or was there some reduction of price at checkout? If not, you are paying VAT twice - once in the price of product and second time at border together with customs fees.

Thank you for sharing that tracking link, I’ll give it a go!

I paid the displayed price, on the Order Summary they itemized taxes as $0.00 - I’m sure I’ll get dinged later on.

It would’ve been better if they released two waves at a time, I find the shipping fees per order on the high side ($35).

So far the service seems very good. Ordered on Friday night, it was sent today (Wednesday), but there was Monday Easter (so state holiday). So in fact second working day after ordering. Received e-mail from local customs service already, that they are expecting my package, to send details and scans about the order, so that they will go with on customs with it once it arrives.

Same delivery company and tracking does not work also, but the local customs office is recognizing the number so hope it goes well.

I received my order from Wave 1 today though oddly enough the tracking number hasn’t worked since day one.

First impressions, the stock was well kept, pristine condition on the product packaging (no scratches, rips, dents, etc).

The big surprise is I didn’t have to pay anything beyond the purchase price with Master Replicas. Looks like it shipped from Sweden.
 
Will see when it arrives. The price already paid is double of what I paid before (usually waited for 3 for price of 2). Not counting expected addition of VAT, custom fees, fee for getting items through customs inspection.

I would like it if they sent my item from Sweden, as it is in EU - but in that case I would not get email from customs office, as the item would come from country within EU. So I suppose I will overpay the item by another 30%. Too rich for me, dont want the Romulan Warbird that much. Probably will pay that much for Serenity if they offer it in the future, maybe if they do Moya, Destiny, Atlantis.

Btw. just got email that they will restock this Friday some ships that sold out in wave 1 - Defiant, Titan, XL Enterprise E and XL Prometheus. They are also going to announce some ships that were produced by Eaglemoss but never released - hoping for Serenity.

I have the Warbird but cashed in on a 50% off deal at Amazon once Eaglemoss went under.

I thought about the Prometheus but decided to pass - too pricey. Some of their models have too many obvious errors, I only pick up the select few that are winners.

One of the ships they produced but didn’t release was the XL ENT-E in Gold.

Roci arrived today. Great one, very happy to have it. But strange thing - sent from Sweden, which is part of EU, but it went through customs inspection and I had to pay VAT for it.
