    Show Us Your Troops (Sideshow/Marmit/Medicom/etc.)!

Wow…didn’t know that was in the works. Looks cool although I checked and it’s 265 bucks!! Then I looked again and saw the helmet sculpt – yuck!! Armor looks nice though. If you’re patient you could score a Marmit for $100 to $125. Add a new body for $30 to $40 and be set. Of course you...

I love them chop shop pictures. :lightsabe Cut 'em if ya got 'em. In the dome, did you sand down the inside molded bracket thing flush? I'm thinking of doing that to mine. I want it lower with more tilt. Alex

Looks awesome amigo. Using a custom or the ROTJ cape really makes a difference in slimming down his broad shoulders. Your Ben looks very lifelike. Did you paint the head and swap the body? Any other mods? Alex

Let me rephrase "pretty" with "fairly" accurate. :) Stuff like the coin slots and the white/silver belt buckle are a bit big against the black boxes. I guess I'm more forgiving on those parts. Yeah it seems like there isn't much difference in SS's first or second belt. I don't have the new...

The original suit had two rectangular green pieces on the belt. SS did a pretty accurate job on the original Star Wars belt and chest box. Scroll down about half way - https://www.starwarshelmets.com/Original-Darth-Vader-Helmets.htm Alex

Best Way to Shorten 1/6th Darth Vader?

I went to the PO this morning so your stuff should be there by Tuesday. :vader:cool: I'd recommend using a solvent like Weld-On for ABS or something similar. I don't know if Krazy glue or model glue will be strong enough to hold the pieces together when you consider posing, part swapping...

WTB - Marmit, Hot Toys and Sideshow Parts

Hi folks, I'm looking for these parts - - Marmit Stormtrooper armor shins w/ boots - Marmit Stormtrooper armor mid section - Hot Toys slim body thighs or complete legs (I'm not worried about "ethnic" color or if they're hot pink - they're for a Stormtrooper body) - SS, HT or Medicom black...

I’m thinking of sanding out a bald spot in the top back of the mask. So it would kind of be like the half mask from the costume. Just to help the angle of the dome a bit and lowering the flange some. It’s a last resort and just a thought. Anyone tried this? If it works then the angle of the...

Hey guys...I'm looking for a pair of Commander Praji gloves. I'm putting together my Marmit TIE Pilot and the look like they'd be a good match. Alex

That’s cool. I didn’t know it was him at the Manns Chinese Theater thing. I’ve wondered who’s wearing the costume for all those TV appearances. I wonder if that was Kermit with Wolfman Jack – I think on The Midnight Special – and on that awesome episode of the Donny and Marie show? The...

See right there by itself the Hasbro dome looks great as far as the flare. It definitely reminds me of the shot below. I think a lot of Darth's look has to do with how the mask, shoulder armor and cape work together. How the mask sits and is positioned with the rest of the costume. Alex

1/6 SSC ESB/ROTJ Darth Vader Modification Thread

I do like the padding. In ESB and ROTJ, he looks more girthy. I'm not sure if it's from Prowse beefing up or from a change in the bodysuit and/or chest box and armor. Alex

It's on my figure in the pictures above and on page 714. I like the new cape a lot. The tailoring is a big improvement. It's made up of multiple pieces and that let's it drape more naturally. I think the original costume was tailored in the same way. Alex
