Wow, done! That took a lot less time than I was expecting. I thought it would take a couple months to find one close to retail price.

Congrats. Was it in US? I’d love to pick one up for a decent price. Any suggestions appreciated.

Don’t be afraid to put in ridiculous offers on eBay!

I submitted a much lower Best Offer than what it was listed at. They counter offered higher than I would consider. Their shipping was really high too even though they are US sellers.

I saw I had 3 more offers available to make so I countered back only slightly higher than my original low offer and they accepted it.

Well it’s not perfect but the seller did say a piece of trim was broken off. Not a big deal to fix that bit.

However there are some scuffs in the paint that I didn’t know about. I contacted the seller to see what they can do about it (partial refund) or I may just send the whole thing back.

Has anyone had any success fixing up scuffs on the stainless steel finish? I was thinking Rub&Buff might be good.

Do you have any pics of the scuffs?

Wow yeah, that's pretty bad, and goes far beyond just a couple of light scuffs. Unfortunately I just held my Rey blaster (that I used silver Rub n Buff on) up against my Delorean and the Delorean is a much warmer looking steel color. So that wouldn't work. And plus it would be really hard to match the exact level of shine anyway.

I wouldnt be happy about that at all. Looks like some of the paint is gone completly. Me, i would send it back as thats no easy fix

Yeah. I’ve been trying to figure out what I can do with it but thanks for confirming it’s a lost cause.

I’m going to start the return process and hopefully all goes smoothly.

What sucks the most is that I’ve been on the fence about it for so long but now that I see how awesome it is I totally need one. Just not this one.

Its worth having. With just a few easy mods it really can look awesome.

I hope you find a better one. Was it bought from a store or private seller?

If you are hesitant to return it, you could always try to negotiate a partial refund. The paint damage is quite bad, so i think $100 refund is not unreasonable. If the seller refuses, you have every right to return it. I've done this in the past, as the seller usually doesn't want the hassle.
