At a glance I thought he was set up at the big screen section of Best Buy.

This is my first HT Vader and he certainly has some wow factor, imo. Stoked!

Speaking of "Wow Factors"...your photos and futzing are excellent....now I'm just waiting for this one so a lot of other folks - it's shots like these that ramp up the anticipation...well done!

So uh...I opened him up and one of the tusks snapped off as I was pulling him out. I dunno if I should try glueing it back on or not. o.o

He looks amazing otherwise, though.
Turn it upside down and reattach it...just curious what it looks like.

Well **** me. As I tried pulling the little from the little crevice with the saber swinging Effect, as I pushed the saber to get the tusk, it fell into the depths of my girlfriends carpet and we now can’t find it...

Edit: found it. Might try glueing it back on

Great to see your Vaders back in shape. I'll just take your last close up photo to try and show people just how much lens distortion is at work when people snap photos of these figures this close, giving rise to the impression that they sculpted the mask while drunk.

Here, it seems as if the mouth triangle is so wide that the tusks are vertically straight below the outer edge of the cheek indentations, and the helmet seems as if its a case of Amazonian shrunken head at large.

However...

He's definitively better in hand then this thread has speculated :lol

I think part of the illusion is that the esb/rotj Vader was sculpted sharper, more detailed, cybernetic so more lines and angles then the softer, more insectoid almost Gigeresque organic Vader we first saw step through that door in anh.

The more I look at the mask, the more I see the attention to detail that HT has done. Like the slightly downward curved right 'cheek' versus the slightly upward curved left 'cheek'.

I think the uneven cheeks was there since anh? Someone in this thread pointed it out and bashed the esb mask for it, like the double seam cloak edge "error"

I always felt that ESB/ROTJ was the official Darth Vader look and ANH was somewhat a
Prototype not as polished. I really like this new ESB Vader however in 1/6, I am a fan of the dull unpolished “cheaper” look of ANH. It’s almost “battle damaged” if that makes any sense. ADCCEF07-1F46-405B-8232-99B691002178.jpg
