Another score after my own heart..if a figure is made to be articulated..then articulate it guys..you know that's what I would do :wink1:

It's the whole BS HT pricing that messes with our heads.

Nothing HT does should be more than $150 tops. But we all pay whatever the hell they feel like asking for their "premium" products that look nowhere as nice as these 1/4 Turtles.

Their cheap ass looking Kmart Hulk is $300 +.

Let that sink in. This is $100.

I agree with you on the price thing, but the ht hulk is a bad ass fig. One of the few worth the money
Conversely, the neca hulk is garbage. Very much like a $3 fig I got for my son at the thrift store.

Neca really nailed these guys. If they can consistently produce accuracy like this, then they can effectively lower the perceived price point that hot toys sets

Idk about a $3 dollar figure maybe $100-$150 but $3 is just ridiculous

I did somewhat stretch it, but you would be surprised what you can get at the thrift store
It's about an 12 inch figure, blatant ab joint, legs that won't straighten, etc. I saw It the other day and it instantly made me think of the neca hulk
I know necas figure is huge, but compared to some more recent neca work, I think it's one of the worst

Necas turtles are the apex IMO
Freddy looks great, new penguin looks great, deadpool looks pretty good
I think neca is close to changing the industry pricing
I know 1/4 is not the same as 1/6, but if neca keeps nailing sculpts, its hard to justify the majority of hot toys pricing

I know which one you're talking about. And now that you mentioned it it does look like it, I have that 13" hulk figure lol.

It's all down to the brand. When you think of Hot Toys, overall you think premium. When you think NECA, you think cheap and affordable. NECA has made some fantastic looking figures over the years but the fact is, it's still NECA. Just like if Ford made a car that looks and drives exactly like a Ferrari, it still has a Ford logo stuck on it and will be a tenth of the price, or less. (I drive a Ford too by the way :lol).

Hot Toys currently has the two biggest licenses in the world, Marvel and Star Wars. These are current and appeal to a wide range of age groups. NECA's 1/4 turtles, Preds, Batman are targeted at a very smaller part of the market.

Then don't miss out. Buy them now or you will indeed regret. If you don't have room to display them just keep them in their box and put it in the corner of a room or something
sadly they are too giant for me. it's not the space issue, it's just that toy scale ruins the presence completely for me, i've seen your photo next to DX13. i like to watch my figures really close for several minutes, and with these things there is no way to do it. i'll better enjoy them on those small photos you all, lucky people, post here.
and keeping them in boxes... it's unacceptable for turtles who need to be in some memorable poses :lecture

Not trolling but curious. Do you own a HT Hulk or a HT Iron Monger? If so, what's your experience observing that figure? Does it create anxiety as well?

NECA is not cheap and affordable anymore. There prices have increased as much as HT or any other toy company. Figures that were once $14.99 are now $30 to $35. Two Packs are $90? These are not affordable prices for 7" figure's folks! It is what it is!

That's a little steep if you ask me. I've never paid more than twenty or twenty five bucks for one of their figures. No more than fifty or so for a two-pack. I have noticed their prices vary by area though. Still completely affordable compared to hot toys price wise.
