There's no "hate" for TFA, aside from a very vocal minority. Star Wars will continue to be huge, and will continue to grow.
As for the idea of "OT will always be king," I don't agree. The OT will always be special to those who grew up watching it in theaters or those who were old enough in the years before the Prequels to remember. But I would argue that the OT is going to be less relevant with each movie that comes out. Plenty of kids will grow up loving this new trilogy, and whichever new "story" films are released, and as the audience continues to grow, there will be more and more fans who don't have ANY of the nostalgia that everyone says is what helps OT stuff sell so well. There will even be hardcore fans of the new films who never saw all of the OT.
Post-Prequels Star Wars is still in very early stages. Should be fascinating to watch what happens in the next few decades.
