I'd worry about that acrylic rod bending over time. I take it that hasn't been an issue for you guys?

HT used acrylic rods for the Interrogator Droid. Icons used acrylic rods for heavy TIE Fighter and X-Wing studio scale ships. It'll hold just fine on the light Probot

Ok good, thanks. I might do it in the future. I'm not bothered much by the metal rod though.

No problems with mine at all. I got the clear rod about a week after I got the droid so its been a while.

While I don't own a probe droid I have handled one. The thing is extremely light. I don't think a bending acrylic rod would ever be a problem due to the weight of the probe droid,or lack there of...
 
I'm trying to decide whether to get one of these or not. That snow base on the original looks much cooler than the plain black base but I think that one is now too expensive to seek out. Awww suck....
 
EFX TIE is in my top 5 collectibles I own. Why did you sell yours?

Pretty much because I was overextended financially at the time. Also I had decided to get out of collecting SW, but that didn't last lol.

You can get an Icons TIE like above on ebay, the Japanese seller only asks $5000 LOL :lol
