Still a pig of a figure, but hey, i figure its our only decent stab at a 1/6 Chief.

Playing through a few Halo games lately, such potential for this line, imagine the possible sales if someone got the licence and pumped out quality figures to tie in with game releases and stuff. :gah:

That's the thing about this figure. It LOOKS amazing in my opinion. I think the heft and proportions are great, as well as the paintwork. Too bad it just completely fails as a poseable figure.

Nice photo, the lighting looks great in that shot. Any mods?

Thanks, much prefer this shot though, think it shows off the paintwork better.

Agreed, I had it when it first came out, but used the 3A refund as i was just so disappointed, of what could have been an amazing figure let down by its possibility.
My only gripe about his proportions is i think he's a tiny bit chubby and his forearms are too big, but the rest is just awesome.

The paintwork by the way is just incredible.

Tempted to do a couple of mods, mainly to try and tighten up the joints.

Excuse the messy desk, but here's my repainted Chief. I did the repaint last week and just now got around to taking pictures. Unfortunately, I only got one picture of the progress, but I think it speaks for itself. If I was better at weathering, I'd like to fix the chest gouge. I'll have to try to cram him into the detolf later.

Does the armor snap apart or how would I go about trying to tighten joints?

I just got a 3A Spartan Thorne today. I'm going to have to move the hip pads down. They bother me so much. Should be an easy project.

if I remember right, the hip pads are actually inserted through a hole in the rubber suit and glued, not just held on with glue. So there will be a gap if you move them down too far.

Yep. I'm counting on that and plan on filling the gap. I'll post pics if it turns out Ok.

So here's what I did...

You have these terrible hip pads that aren't sitting where they're supposed to or where they were even designed to sit.

I removed them and you're left with a tiny hole, loose rubber and a gap.
Super glue works very well on the rubber. Then, I cut craft foam to fill in the hole and gap.

I then painted the black craft foam to blend it into the rest of the undersuit.

I then moved the original pad down into the slot designed to fit it.

To the guys that have swapped the magnets in the back and the guns, did you just pry the pieces apart?

Also, I was testing where the magnets were in the gun earlier. I found out that on the same side of the assault rifle, the left end attracts the magnet and the right side repels it. The back of Chief attracts the magnet on all 4 contacts. Not sure if everyone's is like that, but that might be the case for your guns not attaching properly. I'm guessing that's a huge factor in mine.

I think I'm about to nab an MC figure tonight for super cheap. I honestly just love halo too much to not have it quality aside.

My ultimate dream is to have Hot Toys aquire the license. I cannot IMAGINE the quality of Fred, or their head sculpts. Or better yet.. think of the Arbiter.

Hot toys would produce better figures but unless Master Chief showed up in a Marvel or Star Wars movie, we probably wouldn't see a figure for a while.

If a movie ever sees the light of day, then Hot Toys will likely pick up the license. They just don't seem to have a thing for games outside Resident Evil.

They continue to assure us the Spielberg produced TV series is still being made. It apparently is just a VERY complex process.

What would be your goal figures of the visually represented characters?

I want Fred-104, Arbiter, Hood, Cortana, Vale, and Buck ODST
