Nice hopefully they announce something soon.

Now that BvS is out and the main trinity has been announced, does anyone else feel way more excited about this line?

I enjoyed BvS but I don't really feel the need to collect the figures since Justice League and Wonder Woman are around the corner. I think HT will release a better Wonder Woman from her solo film.

With this line, I'm not sure how long it would take to get "repeat" characters of Harley Quinn, Katana, Boomerang, Deadshot and possibly even Joker (though I'm sure they will make two versions of him)

I'm passing on all the BvS stuff. Haven't bought or ordered a single thing from it. If Suicide Squad is good and I dig it, it'll be hard to pass up on a Suicide Squad Batman, the Joker and Harley Quinn, which I'm sure Hot Toys will make.

Dunno about the others, but they'd certainly be a change of pace with their unique designs. Katana and Boomerang would look really cool in figure form.

Everything I've seen from Suicide Squad has gotten me way more geeked for it than I ever had been for BvS. I will definitely be picking up the HT Joker for sure, and maybe Harley, but I've honestly never gotten a female HT character because the rooted hair would make me way too self conscious that I basically just had a $200 barbie.

Fun fact: Hot Toys has only made figures of these characters.

- the Robocops
- the Iron Man figures
- the Predators
- Ultron
- Hulk
- the T-800 endoskeleton
- the T-600 endo
- Thanos
- War Machine
- the Alien/s
- Iron Sentry
- Groot
- ED-209
- Optimus Prime
- the Chituari
- Jake Sully
- Iron Monger
- Iron Whiplash
- Astroboy

Everything else has been a doll.

I don't think the designs of the suicide squad are great enough to buy figures imo. Looks like many agree seeing the size of this forum.

DeadShot and Katatan are the most figure friendly. I would love a Harey but i hate her outfit in the flick.

I'd add Croc to the list as "figure friendly" due to his unique design as well. I figure this line is almost guaranteed to give us Deadshot, Harley, Joker, and another Batman. The rest are all maybe we'll get them, maybe we won't type characters. I'd personally buy most of the team. I imagine the four I listed are definite though.

What version of Bats will we get from this film? According to reports this week, there is a variety of Batfleck in the film (some say "flashbacks"). Earlier this year Mattel previewed a version of the current suit design with an additional gas mask/cowl, but that extra item can't be enough to warrant a new Hot Toys figure. I would hope for a completely new suit, perhaps one used previously in dealing with one or other of the SS characters.

I could honestly see DC using Batman in the same way Marvel uses Iron Man in film, a slight variation on the suit each film he appears in to drive up merchandise and toy sales.

I genuinely hope not – I want the SS batsuit to be the exact same one he wears in BvS – I absolutely loathe the marketing driven costume changes. I hated it in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, and I hate it in the MCU.

There's nothing wrong with the designs - it's all about what's in demand. Marvel are very much flavour of the month (so to speak), some of the HT MCU figures are mediocre, but they still sell because the MCU is massivley popular.
If Suicide Squad turns out to be a big hit, the figures will sell – Joker and Harley will sell even if it's not!

Well, we had three "costumes" in BvS, and they were very well received - more or less. And just because those two older films were a soulles mess, it doesn't apply that these new movies will repeat that. I can justifiable see why Batman might have used different suits to catch the various SS members. Also, they have a new trailer premiering tonight (on that awful MTV film awards) so we might see more Batman. Especially since he was the highlight of BvS film for many, WB will want to cash in, that and the joker.

Very true, Croc could look very cool indeed. Joker could be cool if they include his multiple outfits aswell. Theres a statue that looks absolutely fantastically demented, he could potentially be a horrifying Joker

Oh man, i love when batman has gas-masks, It always looks totally badass. If they do make one and they improve the suit over the BvS version i will crack.

Its more that they're characters in normal clothes so to me that's not interesting enough. Even Marvels "flavour of the week" suits generally have great designs
. (if they never made another ironman i wouldn't care)
