That's just Toria Cassaro's new Superman head. She's auctioning them off now instead of selling them to anyone that wants one.
It doesn't have that much of a likeness. I bought the first one, and thought that looked good.
But that one was only $50 unpainted. These are now considerably more expensive.
And considering that TA and Monkey Depot will have the BVS ones for $50 each, i'd just ignore the new Modern Life one.

Ehh, I dunno. If you look at the ending of MOS, you can definitely see how slender Clark's face looked in the jawline area. I think it's close, but no cigar.

Just if they use the slender head shape of this sculpt and the facial features of HT's MOS head sculpt, it would look perfect!


Anyway, I can't resist showing everyone this... Henry Cavill reminds me so much of Kingdom Come Supes.

No. It looks quite a bit like him, and remember it's only an inch high. Blown up onto your screen it might not seem like him, but trust me when i say it does.
Perhaps you should read my initial post and not just jump to conclusions. As for the crack smoking, don't assume because you do it, we all do.

Closer to 13"
It's the same size as the MOS figure.

First, thanks to everyone posting pictures from this event, real cool stuff.

I'm looking forward to this line more than any other at the moment. That picture posted above, of Ross and Cavill Supes, man....I don't care what anybody thinks of the movie, plot, directing, acting, whatever. That looks like a Superhero. The Marvel movie are great, but I don't get a "superhero" vibe looking at any of the characters.

I personally hoped for a Superman/Reporter Clark 2 pack. Doesn't look like that'll happen now unless they do Clark/Bruce together.

The BVS artist needs to rework the lips. Henry never had lips like that.

He also needs to make his nose smaller. That way, it would give room for upper lip to become thicker and flatter. Also, lower the jawline a teeny bit more.

The eyes are SPOT ON, though!

Lips do still need to be fixed. At this angle, his lips look fine, but if he looks down, that's where the lips need to be fixed. In photos and movies, his upper lip is usually flatter, even when he looks down, I can see the pink tissue of his upper lip.

I can't help it, but the BVS sculpt's jawline looks a tad bit too small. I think the artist needs to lower the jawline a little bit (meaning:bigger). I don't know about the nose, but it probably only looks big just because the jawline is too small.

You know what? I don't want Hot Toys to listen to what I have to say about Hot Toys' quality figures, because I don't own ANY Hot Toys figure. I don't want them to risk fixing the BVS Cavill. It looks really good in a lot of earlier photos.

Fixing the face happened to Christopher Reeve sculpt, the prototype looked really good in promo shots, but looks off in video reviews. The fans complained about the likeness of the Christopher Reeve prototype (without seeing it in person, or video reviews), so they pushed Hot Toys to make changes to the face, and the result of that is the likeness of not only the face, but the ENTIRE figure of the prototype is gone.

I really wish they produced the prototype version of Christopher Reeve, because that figure's body proportions actually looked really good.

I think it's best to leave BVS Henry Cavill figure alone. I would never know it might look so much better in person!

I do agree with what you said about the jaw, needs to be a tiny bit bigger.

I never knew such big changes happened to the Reeve figure, I'll have to compare prototype pics to final figure.
