You can get them balanced on one leg so they're solid; although I don't imagine they left that to chance in a display that size...

They all seem to have started out on styrofoam slabs, which leads me to believe they had spikes or at least one spike, coming out from their feet/foot.
Good point! I had forgotten about the setup pics with the Styrofoam.
