Didn't they have to change factories before because the quality wasn't up to their liking? (Wish Sideshow would do the same!)

They know they have to make a good impression with the first release, so it is good that QMX are being cautious. Hopefully it won't be a decade before we see the whole crew of Firefly!

Lets just hope that the company that recommended a new factory wasn't Sideshow itself, so in the end we get a Drake'd and/or Snake'd Mal.

If QMX are based in the US I really hope they don't have the same issues with their Chinese manufacturing as SSC.

QMX won't put it up for pre-order until it is almost ready to be released. They will notify you by e-mail that you can order at that time. If you order through them, you get the exclusive version.

I don't mind delays if it helps the end product be as good as possible. I'd hate it if QmX rushed Mal into production and it was as crappy as a lot of Sideshow's human figures or something from Big Chief Studios.

Damn, I was hoping the last delay would be it.

I've had my eye on this one as well! I know they were planning on doing two characters a year until they were finished the crew; though it seems like there'll be a delay on all that. Still, I think it's a huge plus if they're delaying it due to not being happy with how the product looks! It'd be a HUGE mistake to just pump these out the door to get them out there. I'd rather wait another year for a quality Mal over them just shoving a poor looking version out the door to recoup some money.

Plus, if the ball is dropped on Mal, odds are many would just stay away from the line altogether from that point forward.

I had some mixed reactions with some of the pictures I've seen! Some angles look great, others look unkempt and unfinished (hopefully we'll see a more finalized product come SDCC!). Overall, I think it'll come down to the painting though. If they can nail even a portion of the realism that Hot Toys hits in terms of tone on their final production pieces then they've got a winner on their hands...and if the prices remain reasonable like this one, I could be in for the full line! Huge fan of the series, but it'll still be a wait and see for each character sculpt!

This would be a fantastic group to have on a shelf though, and so far it's looking good and qmx seems to only want to give us the best!

I'm not sure I could pick and choose come a certain point though. I mean, Mal is the only must figure. Without Mal, well, it just wouldn't be the same! You can land a few around Mal and be okay without the entire line, but everyone sans Mal? Blasphemy! River would probably be my second choice, though they've already said they don't have the Serenity license, so odds are we won't get this River...

Jane, Wash, Kaylee and Inara are also right up there! I mean, they're all great. Wash with his dinosaurs and Kaylee with the EX strawberries

I realize it's likely only the prototype, but damn does it look great.

And I think the only other character I would consider getting is Jane, just because he had such a cool and memorable look. And possibly Inara, if they could somehow manage to make her look as gorgeous as she looked on the show.

Delays happen. I am just glad they are trying to make this look as good as they can and are being picky about it. I love the show so I am in for all of them.

I'm prob not going to grab the entire Firefly set because I have all of Trevor's. However, the body/proper clothes definitely make me consider it a little extra. Just have to see what is going on in my life at that point, and how I feel.

Man, that would be great if they went from Firefly to Buffy. The SSC ones just look pitiful now.

I've preordered through BBTS for now as well as signed up for notification with QMX. I don't want to miss out on this and not taking any chances with it. LOL. I loved the series and the movie and Mal is the CENTRAL character. This is a no questions asked must have collectible for me.

I'd like to see them get at least ONE character from Firefly out before they start focusing on another series. If they plan to put out the entire crew of the Serenity, it's going to take about 15 years at this pace.
