I don't post pictures because everyone else does. I rarely single out any one piece in my collection for closer examination, especially if everyone else already has it. However, since you asked, I'll post some pictures of my whole collection, or at least a majority of the Godzilla part of it. I really don't show it off that much.
It has to be considered as a whole. Don't get mad at the number of photos. There could be a lot more.

Awesome rj! I was hoping you would post your collection one day. All the resin kits looks expertly done. I like the that IMAGE 95 you have there. Good stuff.
BTW where do you purchase those plastic or glass cases? View attachment 158937 These seem to have a nice variety of sizes, and can hold up alot of weight. do share!

Most of my cases are second hand finds. They are bakery cases or jewelry cases or various other types. The big display with all of the models was homemade. Just took a bunch of standard storage shelves and added lighting and plexiglass. The case that you asked about is actually two narrow wall mounted cases stood on end and pushed together. Found at a flea market. You have to be creative. Many of the cases near the ceiling, as you might be able to tell, are aquariums. I have a number of hutches from dining room buffets. I usually pick them up for $10-$20. Of course, I also have detolfs for 12 inch figures.

One day, I'll try to get better pictures of some of the models. It's not such an easy matter as you can see.

Questions: Are the Ric Boy pieces worth getting? Is there a general price increase associated so I can gauge what's fair? I always like little extras.

Most of the time, I'd say they're not really worth it. You do end up paying more and it's a bit of a hassle getting them from a middleman that can get them from a connection in Japan or paying a Japanese forwarding service to buy the figure on your behalf and ship it to you. There were some that had alternate head options and display options that I would've liked to have, but most of the ones with the extra little trinkets aren't worth it. They've been doing two-pack re-releases of old figures that are out of print like Godzilla '68 and Minya and they're worth getting if you missed out on them.

If you are asking about the exclusives, there is usually added value in getting them. They are more difficult to acquire outside of Japan. I usually don't bother with them unless the added piece is something that really peaks my interest. It can cost me $50-$100 more to get the exclusive over the standard version. I rarely sell the stuff, so I don't really care if they bring me a few more bucks in the end. Doesn't mean I don't recommend them. Just personal taste.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the info.

When is the rerelease of Godzilla/Minya 68 going on? And where do you guys keep your eyes peeled to buy it? I'm in the States.

And where the heck can I get a Rodan 64 25cm?

Those showcases are double sided so there are twice as many figures in there as what shows in the pictures. Just didn't feel like getting every shot. There are a lot of MM28 kits in there. Picking up his new 1974 soon. Also have about fifty models I haven't built yet. As the pictures show, some still need painted. It's a long process.

Are you getting or have you gotten the MM28 1984 kit?

The pre-order for that set went up a few weeks ago. I can give you the contact info for the guy that I buy from, but I'm not 100% sure he can guarantee you one, but it's worth asking.

Rodan is sold out, but I have a suspicion that they'll re-release him among others to go with Ghidorah. At a recent Japanese toy show they showed 25 cm Godzilla, Minya, Gorosaurus, Rodan, and Anguirus surrounding Ghidorah. They did the re-relases of Godzilla and Minya, so I think they might do the others too. Did you order Ghidorah yet?

Oh shoot, I thought someone here told me Godzilla/Minya was going up in February. There's a pre-order up on ebay for it.

I haven't gotten Ghidorah yet, been looking for best price. Or perhaps someone unloading a "broken" one.

I pray you're right about the reissues. That would be great! I'd get Rodan absolutely, and be very tempted to pick up Goro and Anguirus as well. I see I can still get Mothra larva -- 30cm version but that larger size probably fits with the 25cm gang.

I pre-ordered the Godzilla/Minya set for $175, so use that as a guide for getting a reasonable price. They're shipping in February, but went up for pre-order awhile back.

I just got a new glass case which I just put lights into, and managed to cram all my Monsterarts in two of the shelves. So heres my current SHMA collection with a couple Gundams and Ultraman as a Jet Jaguar stand in :lol....I have no idea where Mecha-King Ghidorah is going to fit :panic:
