Hey guys, I didn't want to start a new thread over this, just looking to get into HT Iron Man. Where would the best site be to pick stuff up at a decent price within Canada or NA? Any help is appreciated, cheers!

The For Sale section here would be a good place to start.

Other than that there's a laundry list of retailers and/or eBay

Here on the forums is probably your best bet for 'decent price'. If you are willing to pay $400+ well there's tons on ebay, and the occassional online retailer like BBTS who is selling an opened one for $425.

Personally, I was chasing some old IM stuff too but gave it up...since there will always be a ton of new stuff that's enough to break my bank :) For the price of an ebay WM, after shipping and all that jazz I could get a Mk 42 AND a Silver Centurion, or just a IM3 WM with spare change. In my view there will be new suits with Avenger 2, and the inevitable IM reboot...and in between there will be stuff from IM3 not to mention possible redo of the old suits in cast metal by HT...so I'm saving my pennies for the future :)

:goodpost: Thanks alot. That was what I was looking for, some honesty hahah. Will keep my eyes peeled! Cheers!

yeah, mine has the same problem

I had to pack mine up when I moved and noticed it

it was tight when I first got it but I think the weight of the gun warped the plastic slightly over time and made it loose

(huh huh)

The sliding part has a rubber insert that I guess just got more loose over time. I'm just goin to try to put some tape or something around the peg to tighten the joint up.

How did you damage your neck post?

The stupid screw was in far too tight. I have the right tools but the screw just wouldn't budge so to get the batteries out I had to destroy the cover.

The neck post is fine and still works so if anyone has a damaged one they could still use it but would need to use their 'old' cover and screw if you get my drift?

Ahhh I see.

I was trying to get to the battery compartment. I got to it though by leaning the neck forward. I wasn't sure if the neck post could come off since I was trying my hardest to get it off and it wouldn't budge.

Slightly rotate the post around the long axis, say 15 degrees, and lever it against the collar - makes it much easier :)

yea...it ain't budging. I'll just leave it alone since I got the batteries out without removing the neck post. Thanks for the advice fellas

Like a moron, I passed on this a couple of years ago when the gettin' was good and now I decided to seek one out. Can anyone help with the QC issue summary if there was any notable/constant ones?

I think mostly its was people not understanding the ab articulation and breaking it (their own fault) generally this fig was solid

Thanks brother :duff

I have to check out a couple of more youtube vids but from what I saw on one, there really isn't any ab articulation, right? It just swivels L & R but doesn't crunch at all from what I saw

No 6 pack ab crunches with this fella. Other than that you should be home free though the Ex-wife missile holster is delicate so be gentle ;)

It does crunch, but it's important to understand how the joint works. It's not your typical ball join movement. Looking at a broken one will hopefully make it easier to understand how it works.

On the left is the upper body, the right is the lower body.

No problem, it does crunch a bit forward too, it just doesnt lean side to side

Thanks for the info boys :hi5:. That pic of the broken one is really helpful. Swivels and crunches a little but only forward; got it.

I'm always careful with all of the delicate parts but I'll be extra careful with the x-wife launcher

Yea, the prices have gone thru the roof for all of the IM2 figs (MK V not as bad). Hindsight is 20/20 as they say. I took a pass on War Machine & Whiplash when I had the chance to snag them for retail. MK VI was already on the rise but at that point market value was in the $280-$310 range and I passed on that too. This was when I first started collecting so I wasn't as hardcore as I am today. That's back when I thought that 1 Iron Man fig would be all I need to rep that movie, but now of course I'm kicking myself.

A couple of years ago after Whiplash sold out on SS, there was one on the shelf of a local shop. They usually keep their HT behind the counter but they have a big wall of old Medi, SS and other 1/6 that's accessible to the public. Whiplash ($180) was on that shelf and I was undecided if I wanted it or not so I hid him behind a few crappy figures that nobody touches and have been there for months. I went in once a week for a month, pulled it out of the hiding spot; mulled it over; always decided to think more on it and I'd hide it again. Stupid :slap

So yea.... WTB Whiplash :wave

:lol
