Guys I am really tempted to get the Dol Guldur set, but I was just curious about something. What are the differences between the Azog in that set and the SDCC version of Azog?

Yeah I just checked eBay and there are some active with bids in the 100s, a few closed sales with BINS of around 400-500 that were not sold. Who knows. I can't believe people were paying 1300-1500 for this thing.

Well to be fair there is the unique packaging. No doubt people got caught up in the hype here but I doubt anyone could have been so foolish to think the con exclusive was the only way to get Azog.

Thanks, well, I called it and my wife is awesome. I got me an Orthanc now. Cant wait to put it together. I would have already but im finishing up with converting my garage into a display room this week. Hopefully its all done this Friday and I can build this over the weekend.

Lego makes some VERY DUMB minifigure decisions. I don't think it is at all unreasonable to assume we'd never get him any other way base on Lego's history with convention figures.
