I rubbed my two AvP Warriors down with some Armor-All Protectant wipes about a week or two ago and it definitely seemed to help the rubber out. It feels a little more viable and flexible but it doesn't have a real sheen to it because I didn't hose them down with the spray stuff.

I'm not too concerned about the ALIENS Warrior though because it seems like Hot Toys already coated him with something. If the rubber starts feeling stiff, I sure will put something on him.

The Armor-All might go well with other "rubber" figures too like the Takara, Medicom & Hot Toys Batman Begins.

Well, when I was trying to tighten the screws in my alien's knees, I managed to break the other leg! I hadn't actually even started tightening the screw -- it broke when I was trying to move the rubber sheath that's over the joint so I could access the screw. It broke very easily -- so easily in fact that i can't help but think that there's something wrong with the plastic they used. I think it would've broken pretty quickly anyway. Needless to say, I'm not very happy about this. I "fixed" the leg with some epoxy glue, so I think it will stay on if I don't try to reposition it. This is the most expensive figure I've ever bought and so far it's the most fragile.

Damn!
That sucks royally!
Dude, just send it to HT for a replacement. I sent mine back (the leg) and was informed I should get it back shortly.
They'll probably ask for pics and the receipts of the purchase first, so have those ready.
Or try SST if you bought it from them, they are also very helpful.

I think I'm just going to live with it. Realistically, I wouldn't be using all sorts of crazy poses with it anyway, and I fixed it well enough with the epoxy that you can't tell it's broken unless you try to bend the leg. Still, very annoying. I don't think I'll be buying any more of these figures (not that I was necessarily planning to, but...) I hope the power loader is a bit more robust.

Dude, you paid a lot of money for the damn figure and it probably doesn't cost much to have a leg shipped back to SST for replacement.
To me the fun of these figures is how well articulated they are.

As I mentioned before I got it from Big Bad Toy Store, who have already sent me one replacement leg, and I feel kind of strange asking for another.

EDIT: What the hell, I guess I'll see what they say.

Wow!
Awesome!

I'm sorry, I hadn't read your post about buying it at BBTS. On the other hand, I'm not sorry, 'cause now you get your replacement! :rotfl

Excellent.

I've been pretty impressed with BBTS. They're a bit more expensive than many other places, but I like their preorder policies and they are very responsive when it you need customer service.

They were having problems with their server a couple of weeks ago.
I had no reply from them for what seemed like forever and then they started to answer all my mails very promptly.
They have been most helpful.

Yup.
When I first contacted them I got pretty fast answers, but then, all of a sudden, they stopped answering any of my mails. It took at least two weeks to get another mail from them, but after that it's been pretty smooth.

If you guys are actually getting broken stuff replaced then I might as well try to get a new leg post for my maimed Predator 2. It's holding up OK so far, but I'd sure feel a lot better if I could replace it with a nice new one. Thanks for the info!:D
