My plastic coating on the shell had some dings.
My Batmobile is fine.
How many pieces of foam should there be under/attached to the shell?
I did how ever have messed up instructions.
It says the car takes 3 AAA batteries, when I opened the hatch in the trunk it's clearly 3 AA needed.

Mine appears to be fine, just opened it up for a quick inspection at work. The shield is pretty beat up but I am not too concerned about that since I had no plans of displaying it at all. I will do a more thorough investigation for damage tonight and cast my vote in the poll then.

Is the shield itself beat up or just the removable plastic wrap over the shield?

I really didn't want to have to open this thing yet. Just shipped yesterday, its so freakin huge and I am trying to sell my house at the moment, so want to leave it packed up until I move but now all these comments about it coming damaged kind of scare me.

With so many being damaged and the price of shipping I doubt sideshow or any other vendor are going to be exchanging these, but if their response is just "oh well" I don't think that will go over well for the next $500+ release

Not sure yet, did not remove the wrap yet, but some of the scratches/scuffs seem pretty deep and likely to have damaged the shield itself... Have not decided if I am going to remove it tonight or not.

Opened mine, and found two scratches on the right side of the canopy.
For $700+, this is unacceptable!

Alright so here is the final report on mine:

The shield appears fairly beat up but there is a decent chance that if I removed the protective sheen it would be just fine. Only a couple of small spots looked like it could have possibly damaged the actual shield. The batmobile was is great shape! Only one itty bitty mark on the canopy but not noticeable from over a foot away. Hate to hear about all of these problems you guys are having...

OK ppl get with the program. Yes it is a poll but pictures ..... pictures.... or it didn't happen!
But seriously in a situation like this the more facts are presented the better. I like to see potentially a composite of all damages overlaid to get an idea of the "hot spots" and potentially the source of the damage ;) ok I am half serious as it be difficult to get everyone to try to take the same picture eg crop and angle

Same exact spot as mine.
Even a mishandling by line employees can not cause these types of marks on the same spots.
Some sort of machinery malfunction that was not caught in time maybe???
