hot toys is lame as hell, my wallet says thanks

too true, its been constant releases I have little to no interest in, the break is very welcomed and I can catch up on other lines instead. good for those who want those pieces, there will be plenty available :lol

No Maria Hill...that really hurts (my wallet and wife are thanking HT right now)...I guess I will just save up for the 1/6 Kei Yuki from the upcoming CGI Captain Harlock...

Agreed. Very disappointing. :(

Looks like the only one I'll be getting is the evil Superman since I'm a fan of those old films.

The Bruce Willis HS is amazing! Great job HT! Just not a fan of the Joe films.

As for Cap... Meh. :monkey4

Nothing interesting this year for me. Bruce's days are over even if your a GI Joe fan or not. Evil Superman is just SS milking us.....why not just give us Kent with a new head sculpt. Lastly, another Captain America and now for two straight years.

I hope they make it to three with next year's exclusive, lol.

Yes, now we just need pre-serum Steve Rodgers for next year's exclusive and that's basically every costume change for Chris Evans! Good gosh HT, did Chris Evans give you his likeness for free... scratch that, is Chris Evans paying YOU to use his likeness?

I'm passing on evil supes as it's just a slight mod on colors. Pass on golden age Cap. The bruce willis sculpt is real good. I don't collect GI though. :( will be looking for monger instead then.

Only want Cap but I think they all look pretty good. This is the Captain America I've wanted for most of my life. Yeah, it's Chris Evans, but it's also a perfect comic version brought to life as Hot Toys has made it. I'm surprised so many seem to be so cool to this figure.

Alright guys, this has been one fun thread for me and enjoyed all the ideas and possibilities everyone shared. But unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye and wait for the 2014 Toys Fair Exclusives :lol

:wave

My thoughts exactly!

I'm starting to agree. This Cap is growing on me. I definitely like him more than Rescue Cap. More Iconic. I feel like I may get him and Evil Supes if the prices are right.

I plan on upgrading the sheild to a modern Comic sheild by using the current Captain Action sheild..The sheild paint job is right up there with Hot Toys...all you'll need is to add the Hot Toys Straps. If you want, paint underneath the sheild for more solid color detail

I'll be there, 5th year for us. Headed straight to the SSC booth on Wednesday evening with my camera fully charged. ;)

If it's your first year.....prepare to be overwhelmed.

Cool man! I'm pretty excited! :hi5:
The exhibit hall is like the warehouse at the end of Raiders. The vibe in Hall H is unreal! 130,000+ attendees with similar interests and passions. It easily is the highlight of my year. I hope you have a great time!
The best advice I can give you is to treat SDCC like a marathon. Find moments to rest and get a bite to eat. The worst thing you can do is burn yourself out in the first 2 days or get sick.
Another thing is to plan a schedule out with lots of alternatives and be open to unexpected opportunities that may arise. I shook hands with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in 2011 not having seen Game of Thrones yet. I just stumbled into the signing, shook his hand and smiled. When I saw the first season on blu ray later that year, I totally geeked out!
SDCC is such a unique and amazing experience! Enjoy every moment of it!

How is the parking scene.... Long a** walk? Trying to see if i can just go in see sideshow quick and back out to orange county?

LOL did you just use "quick" and "Comic Con" in the same thought?

Parking depends on what time you get there. If you get there at 7am or earlier, several hours before anything opens, you can park really close. Show up at noon and you will be walking a long a$$ way to the convention center.

And, you have a pass to the convention and you're only going to walk in to the SSC booth and right back out? Good luck with that. ;)

The "end of Raiders" is a perfect analogy. Just imagine that all of the crates are filled with toys, artwork and comic books.
