No one answered my question! :monkey2

For you guys who have this figure, did it smell as if it was dipped in fresh paint? I'm seriously wondering if Hot Toys didn't allow something to "cure" correctly, and if I should return it to Sideshow for a replacement.

ill say that mine smelled too. im used to that smell though. i actually like it, i know weird......................and ive been saying the same thing jack. i can get some dynamic poses out of them no problem. just the boss's elbows dont go more than 90 degrees.

I dunno, The Boss just seemed to smell a lot more than other Hot Toys figures. I was literally blasted by paint fumes, and had to get a tissue to blow my nose. It was the first time that ever happened.

Weird...I can pose mine just fine...fist-fighting and shooting stances are no problem. What kind I poses are you guys trying to achieve that you can't? Just curious as I see this written about a lot, how these figures are statues.

I have no problem with posing, as I dont wish to move them much :lol.
On a serious note, with the heat in this country... I don't dare to risk getting corrosion from posing (bending) for a long period of time as happened with RAH under suit elbows.

Regarding smell, I keep both BB & TB together in an arcylic box & everything i lift the box up there is some smell

My Boss didn't have any strong smell of paint but my Wolverine did smell pretty strong. Most of the latest Hot Toys I've gotten did have a smell though IIRC.

I just hope that the fumes aren't toxic. I've been posting some weird **** lately - and oddly, it was right after I finished unboxing and posing The Boss.

Makes no sense, but the original sculpt is too "freaky" :lol

You guys think having the suit zipped up over a period of time will ruin the body? I think "things" might be quite squishy in there when the suit is zipped up. & has anybody managed to zip it all the way up?

Looks interestingly good, in a tomboyish kind of way.
This is how mine is set, it's as high as it can go.

Wow, I don't know what that's supposed to be but it looks cool!

:lol It's not really what I want displayed. I did try to make the original sculpt work. I had an idea of posing it with it's back showing, with the head turned a bit to the side (Akuma style), holding the gun, which I thought might look cool, & various other poses, but simply was not satisfied with what I saw. So for now, that random sculpt is acting as a place holder sculpt. Why use a random sculpt as a place holder instead of the original? I simply like looking at the random sculpt more I guess :lol

You also didn't manage to zip it all the way up. I'm guessing that's simply the way it is.

Did you purposefully align the knife, parallel to the outfit pattern like I did? :lol

Oh, so I'm the only weird one doing that? Nevermind then :lol

& you superglued it? That's gangsta :lol

Looks like the figure of a Boss cosplayer :rotfl

I left mine unzipped. The chest flaps weren't exactly glued properly so I don't want to stress the seams by having them clamped across the body.

I decided to unzip mine, & put the original sculpt back on. Cosplay girl kinda got boring :lol
