Wasn't last years also being sold by Toys r Us? Pretty sure I bought mine online from them and then actually saw them in the store.

Hard to tell if those photos are 6" or 3 3/4"... And I wish they all came with stands.

So far the only dawrf I know they did in 6" is Thorin all the rest are the smaller scale. At least for wave two. Azog is coming out in both scales and I think the same is true for Radagast. Hopefully they do well enough to put out the whole company in 6".

I'd love to see them try a wave of 6" and 3 3/4" from Lord of the Rings in between the 2nd and 3rd movies, maybe earlier around Christmas time. I keep thinking that if done right the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit can be a very deep toy line. I would love to see it rival Star Wars but the PG-13 rating might have kept the really young away from Lord of the Rings. My wife teaches high school English and the majority of her class had not heard of the Hobbit before the movie trailers and most of them had never seen the Lord of the Rings or even heard of the books. :slap

They have the license to The Lord of the Rings and I think if The Hobbit figures sell well enough they might go for it.

I only bought GTG in 6" but I pretty much have the entire 4" line, so I'll stick with that.

I ended up getting every character in both scales. I also got from TBD their sting sword which is pretty cool. So I'll get both scales again but I like group sets because it does save money.

K-Mart clearanced these out in my area. 5 bucks for the 6", 2 for the 3 3/4".... I just couldn't pull the trigger on the 6" Bilbo and Thorin though.

Only place I saw them was at Toys R Us. I had already ordered mine via Amazon but did grab Grinnah because they didn't have him on Amazon at the time.

Same here. The smaller set is shared with my kids and the 6" are displayed around the house.
