That gap cannot be unseen. Great figure for the cost but that gap is something that would really bother me.

I'm still goin to pick this up!I'm not goin to see a 1/4 scale Ironman from anyone else for awhile and after i battle damage the $H!T outta him,he won't look so bad!^_^

To all of those "It's not Hot Toys quality!". Guess what? It's not a Hot Toys toy! Go ahead and spend $400 on your deteriorating, leaky batteries, turning pink, loose jointed, and extremely overpriced "toy", and stop crying here. I bet this figure will have less quality control issues than any HT Iron Man figure. Oh, and it seems like NECA kinda cares about their customers, while HT just laughs at you.
I do own a few HT Iron Mans, but I can't really say that I'm too thrilled with them either. Hmmmm, $400 for two figs (what I paid), to one that costs $80.....

ok then.
i don't think movie accuracy is a hard thing to do given any price point. they used outdated legacy effect for this, it shows. its not really even a big deal given the value. case closed

Easy there Unclechopchop. I hope I was one of the folks you are ripping into..I for one wasn't comparing it to HT. I actually said I know this is not a HT. I just don't like the look for 80-100 bucks.
I think the shoulders look strange, and the calfs look thin, and the hand repulsors are orange. I am not expecting HT level for 80-100 bucks, but at least I don't want it to look wonky. I for one have not experienced all the QC issues stated about HT Iron Man Armors. So I guess I am a bit bias, and picky...sorry...

I have 2 on preorder and hope to get them soon.
My kids will love these and there is no reason not to ket them play with it.
