The Horde as a whole aren't just weird in terms of being odd monsters. Since the original figures came close to the end of the line they're all fairly unique in terms of silhouette compared to all the rest of the line. I think Shadow Weaver fits in well with that aesthetic.

I absolutely LOVE your photography! :clap

You really think so? I mean, sure, she has no legs... but I think it's quite a striking figure. Really compliments the Horde nicely. :)

Agreed. One of my favorite figures. And they worked in the articulation amazingly well for a design that could be so static. The way they sculpted her gave her a nice sense of motion. And I kind of wish the Sorceress had just had her wings attached this way.

Also, that photograph is very cool.

yes,she feels cheap to me and as a character, she is highly overated...don't see what the big deal is about her

it's kinda funny to me, that people get p00py about shadow weaver's missing articulation, but Tytus and megator get a pass.. when they have even less.

That is because its a super RARE figure that only existed in Europe, never released in the USA.The rarity of that makes sense.
I have a buddy who owns that piece aswell

I wonder why a MOTU MOC Classics Fisto is selling for 150+ ,while I can get a carded Vintage MOC Fisto for 100 or less

so who more RARE? I think the MOTUC Fisto will keep shooting up because there is less made of him than your Vintage Fisto. That goes for all or most of the Classics Figures.

A loose Vintage Fisto in great shape I can get for $20....a Loose MOTU Classics Fisto loose commands $100...so who is really the winner based on value expectations??

The Vintage is great for its time, but there is no comparison today vs the MOTUC line
Part of that is also hype over the current line though. Once folks move on to the next thing I'm sure the value will creep back down to something more reasonable.

I don't see what else she could have in terms of articulation.

Tytus and Megator are much cooler and they have legs :)

Not if the line is as limited as claimed..

the RARER essntial figures will be even more sought after even after the line is over as the market even gets dryer

I liked to complain about her before I had one… mostly to convince myself I didn't need to buy her.

What are you talking about? When they came out that was most people's complaints about them, the lack of articulation. One of the reasons Procrustus was liked so well was the added articulation.

Yeah, I agree. Once MOTUC is over, interest in the brand will fade, and prices on everything will come down. Sure some of the rarest pieces will fetch above retail, but they will come down too.

Look at what happened when the 200x line ended. The end of the line pieces were fetching ridiculous amounts, but then over time the prices on everything came down.

You guys forget the movie that is currently been written.

This should inject some more interest in the brand beyond MOTUC.

:lecture

yep and will drive up prices higher for the Snoozers...

if this line is limited as they say it is and older pieces are harder to obtain driving up prices, then the line may very well maintain its value

I don't see Sorceress and Fisto going down in prices even after the line is over....they are that rare (especially MOC) and to get them, you'll need to find someone willing to break up their collections to obtain one

because of the Artistic sculpts by well known action figure sculptors, they are much better than the original vintage,I think these will be greatly desired in the future

Yes, but if there is a new MOTU line 5 years from now and that line has a Sorceress and Fisto, then the MOTUC versions will drop. Part of the reasons why the prices are so high is because people want the characters represented in their collections, not because this version of the Sorceress is so amazing. When the next line makes a Sorceress, few will still care about the MOTUC Sorceress.

I am not so sure and here is why I think that.

MOTUC Classics are the best representation of the characters we grew up with.
I cannot imagine any future MOTU toyline where they revisit those same looks and designs we hold so dear.

After MOTUC is done, we will never see these retro versions of the characters again. The movie will be a different animal and there will be new looks etc.

completely disagree

the Classics line are better updates of the originals. What Sorceress is going to be better than this one? The movie is guaranteed to stray alot from the source

If there is not enough figures to go around, then these characters will continue to be demanded in the future as people begin to start collecting them. There is a big difference between only 10-15,000 Fisto's,Sorceress' to go around VS the 1,000,000 made of Vintage Fisto/Sorceress's back in the day

:lecture repeated

It won't get better than MOTU Classics

We won't get a better representation of the 80's versions of these character again is what I am sayin.

We may get better MOTU figures they just won't look like our childhood versions.

basically saying that too

but I don't see their value declining just because the line ends or a new movie line comes out.The Adults remember He-Man from their childhood and the desire to obtain these will be there after the line is done

I don't see Mattel making better 80's representations than what we are getting now
