It's a $150 figure.

If it was by HT it would be $320.

Yeahp, with all of his accessories..

:monkey2

Until then, this SSC piece is the best TPM Kenobi ever. :rock

Maybe a year and a half ago. Now that would be $400.

And I a tub full of those little Jedi bits. No one uses that stuff. :lol

Not only is he my favourite character from the prequels but he also had my favourite saber in the ep1/2 version.

I'm keeping my eye out for the ep1 EFX stunt saber replica as I want a replica to display alongside this figure...and typically the ones currently on the market are all insanely priced. I'm not going to miss this one.

Oh and for those of you who are bothered my Obi is shipping this week! With the packout option! :rock

Well, my ponytails are improperly painted on both heads too. This looks to be a broad factory error. Still I just repainted Boba Fett to dull down the Crayola green, so a tiny touch up like that is doddle.

These wrinkly necks should never be used again for any character under age 60. It mismatches the head so badly it is ridiculous. Again though, a simple fix from my parts bin.

Otherwise the figure is great. I will give Old Ben the robe and display Obi-Wan in action.

The lightsbare duel from TPM and the costuming are the only part of the prequels I do not find terrible.

yup. just got it. REALLY nice overall. Still has the over-done ponytail.. pretty obvious what happened. it's just a drybrush of a lighter color , to do highlights.

Except instead of drybrushing, they simply painted it.

LOVE everything else about this guy.... EXCEPT for 3 small details.

1) Light up lightsaber looks pretty bad in hand, as expected. Looks the same as the Kid-sized hasbro ones. it's bright near the hilt, and the light fades out as it gets near the tip.
In complete darkness, it looks neet, but in any sort of light.. it looks bad. It stays in the box.

Thing 2, the Hasbro 1/6th blades on the lightsabers. Just.. ew. Way Way WAY oversized.

thing three, plastic belt. already fixed.

the REST of the paint on the face? AMAZING.

overall, a solid 8/10

:dunno
Because it cost me $174 direct from Sideshow.
And in two weeks time or so I will get an import and handling invoice from Fedex for another $30-40.
Thats over $200.

You paid $149.99 for the figure. Just because you end up paying FedEx $50 in delivery and import fees, doesn't mean you now have a $200 figure. You still have a $150 figure.

Why does everyone complain that the saber is too thick? The old ssc sabers were kinda thin, the sabers in the movies are thicker like this figure.
Anyway the pony tail is a simple touch up job with some dk brown paint, took 5 mins and looks great now.

partly becuase we're usedto the older SSC sabers.

and partly becuase it IS too big.

if the old ones were undersized, this new one is oversize.

also, the one hot toys made for luke was almost identical to the ones sideshow makes.

consistency.
