He is basically invulnerable and indestructible. He comes to Earth as a baby and grows to adulthood. HOW is he going to age?? How? 21 is the age of full physiological development, and everything past that is just going downhill, aging. Think about it. Think about the powers he is supposed to have and ask yourself how someone like that could possibly look that old, until he is say, 2,000 years old.

When has the adult Superman ever been drawn to look like he's 21??

I mean, this is tits-ala-mode. The cream of the crop. It really is. This is ____ing Superman. Last Son of Krypton. Man of Steel. Earth's Protector.

But 700 bucks is a lot of ____ing money...

Who do you know that's 21 and in perfect shape? I would've thought a man's prime was somewhere between 30 and 40.

Exactly where did you pull 21 out of? Peak human physiology is dependent upon the person's growth rate/gene pool and other factors. usually peak human physiology on average is given a range, most agreed upon as 18-30, or in some cases 20-33 depending upon the biologist your reading from.

There's a reason many athletes peak during their late 20's to Early 30's.

Also, if you're going to go the slow aging route then shouldn't have started when he arrived, and by the time he reached adulthood wouldn't Ma and Pa Kent be about 20 generations dead?

Either way you're talking about a fictional character and his age group, and by the way I disagree that the Alex Ross Superman looks younger, I'd his paintings are pretty close to the sculpt.

A young Supes doesn't make any sense for a 1:1 bust full stop. And people saying this is a Kingdom Com era bust are taking the piss. He looks way older in Kingdom Come and he's got grey hair;

Edit; I don't care if I join the Big Bang Episode! :rotfl

I think he looks amazing! I love the sculpt and the color... everything oozes charisma! Such an iconic bust for him.

I'm much more of a Bats fan than anything else and I think Supes bust is much better that the Bats.
I don't collect bust however but there's lots of promise for future PF and statues!

I was thinking 21 as far as the face, and the amount of aging in the skin. I agree that many athletes don't reach their prime until later, but then, those pro athletes also age much faster than other people. Tour De France bicycle racers and bodybuilders age faster than most people. Gymnasts hit their peak before 21. It depends. The point is aging of the skin. Superman shouldn't have any.

The time from infancy to adulthood would be the same as for a normal human. It would not take any longer. The issue is deterioration. Superman shouldn't deteriorate.

You have a point. He does look older there.

Andy B is the mother f'n man! That is one amazing sculpt! How anyone could find something to complain about there is beyound me :duh

Like E said, I really hope the 1/6 Superman is similar is design.

I see some Reeve & Reeves in that sculpt. Also reminds me a lot of the Fliesher Superman.

I freakin love it!

Liking the different textures to the bases for each character it's a nice touch.
The bust is amazing, I don't really get the dislike for the cartoony paint or look :dunno. Ordered!
