Here it is from the other thread, just found it. :)

NECA's comment at the bottom better-explains why the color scheme and patternation is different. Movie-accurate spotting like this would've been a pain in 7". The question is... how good will this look in 1/5? The P1 body paint job turned out okay, but this is a more elaborate design -- unless they're improving their large-scale figure paint apps like they did with their smaller ones. I'm eager to see what they can do.

My only question is: is this the right torso? I can't tell from this angle but it looks more like P1 than P2.

I have the same thoughts, it looks like a tweaked P1 body to me, but we could be wrong til we see the full reveal at SDCC.

Can someone just confirm what '1/5' Preds NECA have planned at the mo then please? :)

Here is what they told me

"Hi Randy. You said there's going to be two 1/4 scale that will be release.. Any hint on the other one besides P2?"

Randy:
"Warrior aka Ram, we showed his torso on Friday. Check the pics on our feed."

the pic was the one I posted earlier.

A raw masked P2 for sure. Don't know about the Warrior, though.

Masked P2 and Ram. Cheers.:hi5:

Oh no.
I will Unmasked City Hunter in this Year and not 2013.
Last Year they make 3 1/4 Figures.
They can brings masked , unmasked an ram.

You understood that?:dunno

Based on his previous posts, it's something about him knowing how to run a company better than the people who actually run it. All that jazz.

They're not literally 1:5 scale.

The Predator is roughly 8 feet tall.
1/5 of that is 19.2".
So yeah, not literally. A little smaller than that, in fact. :lol

I'm not knocking them, either. Judging by that latest torso picture, NECA might've actually improved their paint apps on the larger-scale stuff, so I'm excited to see the final figures. If all goes well enough and they actually make more Lost Hunters, I might pick up a few. Where else are you going to get a giant Ram?

Just as I try to get out of the 1/4 scalers they pull me back in. :lol
I really am impressed with the paint apps on Ram. Can't wait to see him in all his glory. In fact I still need to get the latest wave...

as much as i wish the Predator was 8 feet tall, he was NOT 8 feet tall.

KPH was 7'3", according to Google. The mask, feet, and sandals add 4" or 5", but even if a figure of the actual actor was made, 18.5" wouldn't be 1/4.

IMDB says he was 7'2½".

I don't doubt KPH was "around" 7 foot tall, however height for male actors is something that is ALWAYS over-estimated, and bumped up.

I've always assumed P1 is 7'6" and P2 is 7'8".
Makes sense.

I highly doubt the Predator was 7'8" in P2. Wishful thinkiing yes, reality? NO. There are a very limited number of shots in the film where you can see the Predator's true size and scale. The one shot that really gives it away is the shot in where he runs through Grandma's apartment. The average height of a US door/door jam is anywhere from 80"-83". The Predator smashes through the door he runs through the apartment while lining up with the door jams giving us a realistic height reference. I'd say he's right around 7 feet...nowhere near 8 feet tall.

:peace

I'll have to watch the apartment scene again, but could the stunt double have been used for that scene?

I find it hard to believe that his official measurements were exaggerated, though.
