I actually think it's a very good thing. BBTS gets later production runs, but that means Hot Toys has time to fix quality issues from their first runs. i.e. Batman Dark Knight DX leaky abs.

Same here man I need the break. It usually a week to a week and a half before they get it. Not much but its helps me with budgeting and the fact that they have don't require a deposit is a plus not to mentions the pile of loot shipping option in which you can combine your shipping item and ship them all at once.

All depends on how much of an Iron Man fan you are I suppose.

very true! I initially had this on PO at BBTS, but then canceled a week or 2 after b/c I realized that there are just too many IMs right now to barely start collecting them. just going to have 1 and that will be the Avengers IM same with Thor. Cap on the other hand, I will have every incarnation :D (or at least try to :monkey3)

made up my mind, canceling this po right now, looked through the in hand pics and def not liking this one at all, the fact that im not even excited or really looking forward to receiving this one is a good enuff sign to tell me to cancel. now i can save the dough for the marcus wright ive been wanting to get...

Yep - given how popular this series is and how much HT loves making them one thing is fairly certain - There will be plenty of Iron Man figures in the near future with Avengers...Iron Man 3...and a likely Avengers 2. Being aware of this I had to draw a line as well to not saturate my collection with just different iterations of the same character. Currently Mark VI bears the burden to represent the famous shellhead. Likely to not be replaced anytime soon.

Right concentrate on what you're the largest fan of. I will get every Iron Man HT makes thats my #1 goal. Though, if every Thor and Cap are cool enough I'll get them too. :lol

See there is the difference between a casual Iron Man fan (if you're a fan at all) and someone like myself. I wouldn't even consider ordering that figure over any Iron Man or Marvel figure.

Iam a fan, a huge fan of Iron Man in fact and not a 'casual' fan at all, ive just come to the realisation that i dont need every single IM that hot toys releases in my collection, im pretty satisfied with what i have now, not to mention that upon closer inspection, im not really feeling the make of mark v, the final product just looks inferior to the other recent ones

When it comes to HT figures, I guess its more to do with whether you're an IM movies' fan or not. You can be a big fan of the character, but are you a fan of the portrayal of IM in the movies (and further as 1/6 figures); THAT is another thing. :lecture

SO they are charging cards on the 3rd, so it is gonna ship next week that means? Wouldn't we see shipping soon on the order details? Mine still says processing.

Like many of you I am still on the fence about POing this and cancelling my PO on the MK2 re-release. As big of an IM fan as I am, I kinda have reached the ceiling, however I did sell my old MK3 BD when the MK4 was announced as that would be the Prime IM I wanted to display.

I remember when the MK6 came out that I was blown away by the pics and bought it for the hell of it, and ocne I had it I was blown away by it (just because I could have sold it if I didnt like it).

That being said, if you can afford it, it might behoove you to buy the figure and mull it over while you still had the chance to get it for retail rather than wait for the ebay prices to skyrocket.

With all that said, I'm more or less going to get this from AE or SS.

From these recent posts it seems that fans of the line are feeling exhausted from the amount of figures released / to be released.

Has Hot Toys milked the Iron Man Cash Cow to near death???

...

I cancelled the MK 2 myself. I would buy the Gantry if i could afford it without sacrificing other more important collectibles, i'm keeping this cos its awesome but after that, with the exception of a Tony Stark figure or Whiplash armour, i'm done with Iron Man.

I have the same sentiments- MK V not exciting me as it did during the summer...before the avalanche of new announcements!!

This lil guy is so much more poseable than my experience with the Mk IV.

I hope The Avengers Iron Man will be able to do so.

No people over extending themselves with too many other items on order. Most people don't know how to say no.

This may very well be true.

But let me ask you, when you or another collector wants to switch lines from Iron Man to another.

Just imagine it was your favourite film, your grail in 1/6, with at least 7 characters you would love in HT 1/6

Will you be satisfied with the that line getting only 2 figures and left dead in the water?

It is true. I've seen it and done it as well. :lol

Of course in a line I'm interested in but they're only going to make the ones that really sell or ones they think will sell well. Otherwise we SHOULD have gotten Loki from the Thor line or Red Skull from the Cap line. However, I understand that sometimes they wait forever (Iron Monger) or understand that they just assume its not going to sell.
