I think Larry did post pics of side by side stuff of the Expo and normal edition, however he said both heads were same so he didnt post pics of them... the suit however was strikingly different

This looks great! Really. Is this the stock head or did you repaint it?

That is stock... but a VERY VERY well taken composed pic, in hand the details dont really stand out as much as the pic... arrove's pics are very very clean and well composed

Regarding the weathering on the suit, yeah my new regular suit has a lot less damage on it, but the footprint is really strong compared to the Expo version. Maybe this is all just random?

"New" meaning the regular non expo version Rory? That's the one I have on the way. I think you might be onto something about speculating it's all random.

Hmm like I said as much a it can be an optical illusion I can also say that its a human being who painted the production head after all, and honestly SOME differenced HAVE TO BE THERE... Anyway whatever being better, you should be happy as you have the 'best' of 'both'

When he said new he meant the 'regular HK version' which he recieved yesterday or day before...

If larrys pictures hold true for all cases the biggest difference is the amount of damage on the BD suit... the HK version/normal's BD on the suit is SO LIGHT that it looks non existent almost... This pic's BD suit is like my HK version before I repainted it...

Also Rory as much as I think things like paint MIGHT differ slightly between HK and Expo versions, I dont think Sculpt will considering they came of the same moulds, so the eyeslits being smaller maybe more of an optical illusion...

Yeah, I mean the regular version. I got it the other day but only had a chance to look at today, been up to my eyes in work. I actually think its better than the smiling sculpt now. But maybe this had nothing to do with what version people have but what production line they have come from? The eyeballs themselves are 100% not the same though. One has lots of tiny red veins and the pupils are slightly smaller like arroves head, whilst the expo edition (at least my one) didn't.


I just noticed one QC issue in my second set. No green cane! I don't really care though.

My regular edition's eyeballs do have tiny veins (not lost of them though), it cant be possible that the Beijing Edition doesnt have it... or is it

crazy! I think the smaller pupils go a long way to improving the likeness. I love the concept of the moving eyes but both Hot Toys and enterbay can still improve on this feature. From the ones I own, the eye slits on both asian and caucasion sculpts that have tend to be too big, and there's always the issue of thickness of the plastic of the eye socket.

I have the regular HK on the way so will see if mine looks like Arroves.

As for the paint bug... necessity is the mother of discovering hidden talent... I HAD to paint that nose to save myself the hassle... that translated into me repainting the BD suit to make it look better and the the parts of the body that were exposed and damaged/stained... its as addictive as collecting

wow....pretty speechless at the amount of issues people have had.
I see Enterbay have updated their site again. Order now and 'dispatch in September'.

I think I may try and order one of their last batches. Hopefully they'll have had 4+ months to work through everything.
