What are some cases that are similar in look/pricing to a Detolf? We have no Ikea yet in Colorado, and the $300 shipping cost they're quoting me seems just a BIT high.

Finally got my DX Joker - my first Hot Toys figure (can't wait for DX02 Batman to get here)!

Photos via my crappy digital camera:

The answer to all these problems lie inside a Detolf. :exactly: Glass cases and even locks can prevent forrest fires ........... oops I mean damage to figures. :wave

I always keep the door to the room closed. People that come over and go in there know to not let their brats touch anything :wink1:

Scary stuff. I managed to let mine fall today and thats what I was expecting to see when I picked him up!

Thankfully he's fine though.

Whats actually happened there anyways? I mean are both eyes moving freely or one is still controlled by the stick or what? Can they still be lined up by hand?

One eye stopped working and one can still be controlled by the stick, but I opened up the head and glued sticks to both eyes, just like Enterbay Enter The Dragon Bruce Lee B version or Mr Bean.
It works great.

whats up with all those suicidal jokers!
HT really pushed past whats possible and included a part of the torn soul of the Joker in each figure??

The left eye (from behind) is the one that worked so I use the thing that stick out from it as a stick, the stick on the right eye is from the back side of the PERS stick, here are some pics:D

The reason its white inside of the head is because the glue I used is white. And I don't got a steady hand:D

Every time someone tinkers around or fixes the PERS system, they should take and post pics, if they can. The more documentation we have and can amass, the easier it will be for us to learn how to fix this sytem - something which I fear will become more and more necessary as the years roll by.

I'm scared for my PERS - too many scary pics have been posted, where the system broke down. Given that this is Hot Toys' first implementation and that they apparently altered it for later DX releases, I fear that a typically harmless accident or random occurence might leave me with googley eyes.

From what I've gathered the part that's breaking is what keeps the eyes parallel. As long as the stem from the eye stay intact it isn't much of a deal to fix. When the stem breaks at the eye is when you need to use a good bonding agent.

Enterbay has individual eye movement which makes the movement of the eyes a little more work; but not by much.
