I guess when a certain someone gets his Para model finished by Foulkes himself, we'll be able to decide if our money is well spent on SS statues.

Sorry for my absence, gents. As I said before I've had a lot going on in my personal life lately. Left work early today and I'm just about to head off to the ER for assorted testing and such. I thought I would pop in for a moment and see if anyone has been posting pics yet and what the general consensus is on the diorama. I'm sorry to see that they lost the flamboyant blue coloration on the Parasaur's frill. I really liked that little accent of detail. Other than that I'm hoping to find out in person myself later today.

got #47 today. looks sweet. the swamp water is excellent and the spots don't really jump out as much in hand as they do in pics.

It's interesting that the crest looks a bit more bluish in your photos, Craw. Are you using incandescent lighting?

The lighting is def increasing the color..the Deino looks really..green.

no it's a mixture of florescent bulb on the left of the pic and natural outside light on the right side. there is definately some blue on the crest. actually it looks like a light green.

Is it just me or the polka dots bugging anyone else? It almost looks like 1000 mosquito bites. They should have blended it in better to the over all coloration.

yup, i already noticed the connect-the-dots paint scheme on the deino. and it's really turning me off. but as craw says, the spots are not that prominent on the actual piece, just on the photos. lighting i guess...

Just got notified by the customs office that they sent the statue back due to tax fraud by our retailer......now I'm in a real pickle...
Btw, I never seem to receive anything I ordered overseas since February. I wonder WTF is going on...

The poor hadrosaur does look better under lights but yes, those dots on the massive croc is a real turn off.
Well, it's nice to hear that they aren't so noticeable from the production piece in person....except that I'm afraid that I might never receive this statue

Well, ladies and gents, I am MIGHTY, MIGHTY PISSED OFF!
I was fortunate enough to finagle my schedule in order to be home to receive the package in the first place, and now the version which I have received is the REGULAR version and not the EXCLUSIVE version which I pre-ordered and paid for. Amazingly pissed the ____ off right now. First major screw-up I have ever suffered ordering from Sideshow directly. Living in Pennsylvania, it's quite a distance for the statue to go in order to arrive at my place of residence, and the combined anxiety of worrying whether or not the piece will arrive intact in the first place, let alone whether I will be home to receive it, has always been vexing. Opening the piece to find it intact, but that it's the WRONG item, is stunning. Absolutely stunning. Given that I've invested a great deal of time and money into this line, I am positively chagrined that my order would be buffeted by incompetence. Staggering. Positively staggering. Honestly, this may impact my purchasing of further pieces. The exclusives are the only reason that I order through Sideshow, otherwise I would happily give Dan my business. Staggering.

And now to add insult to injury, there is absolutely NOBODY available right now at Sideshow's customer service department. NOBODY. How does that even happen?

Though I must say I have my doubts that I would order directly through Sideshow again. All depends upon how this works out, but I would be quite reluctant. At least ordering through Dan, even though I wouldn't be getting a bargain by insisting on an exclusive, at least I can expect he'll check to see EXCLUSIVE is written on the box. Amazing. Granted, my time in and out of the hospital over the past 48 hours may have my blood pressure escalated, but I'm positively through the roof over this.

Well I won't be seeing mine today as planned either..apparently the UPS moron didn't bother knocking on the door and just pulled in saw no cars and pulled out taking my statue with it. Now I have to wait til Monday..who knows what will happen to it over the weekend... freakin' a##holes man.
