Re: What do you think it would take......

I'm out. The type of ape art I love looks like the ones they used for the most recent apes trading cards. Drawings of screenshots. Not very imaginative, huh? But that's what I love.

Yeah, Ploog's is definitive, but more comic. Larkin's on the other hand.....

Gypsy style meaning....from Spain?

I would look at womens blouses in a used clothing store. Look for small printed designs...also check used children's clothing. Look for fabric that is thin and has small prints on it.

Gypsy like maleva from the old Universal Monsters films. Would a solid burgandy work?

Are those the new Apemania masks? They were working on economy pullovers...

Based on the nostrils this is the chimp pullover.

Wow then that's in super good condition. The latex has not shrunk or cracked...after more than 40 years...

Per Apemania...

We've done about a dozen of the background/stunt pull over ape masks over the years. Nothing like trying to get a bag full of cracker crumbs to look like a mask again.

This is how I imagine most of the pullovers to look like...some have popped up on Feebay recently. One looked pretty good...but the one you posted is the best I have seen.

I had allof the Don Post masks. But I sold them when I first moved out of the house to make rent. :banghead:banghead:banghead

I wore the gorilla mask to a few conventions in the mid sevenites with my homemade Urko suit. Those were the days.

You know what they say, it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. :D
