:lol I hear you. But then again, for me, just like the Sonar lenses I don't care about any of that stuff either. It's extras. My main concern is how good the the figure looks. That's the most important thing. If the figure sucks, the extras won't mean ish. True?

That's how I feel, I'm excited about the extras that they're there and all, but if teh figure isn't a dramatic improvement over the first, or includes some really must have stuff, it's not worth getting the set for a gun and backpack, that we know of so far.

Very true. The body and cowl are my main concern(though a poseable cape would seal the deal), and that pissed off head has definitely scored the release some points with me. :p

Not nearly as lame as pupils on Batman. A backpack he uses for all of 2 seconds and a gun to blow up a window, how awesome.

actually he also used the sticky bomb gun at the end to collapse a part of the building

I know it's still early to tell but does anyone think that HT may have not developed an alternative other than using rubber for the Batman suits because it's laziness or is it because it's lighter compared the things we were suggesting like mesh with the plates glued/attached on? What material has Medicom used on their Batman suit compared to HT?

The Medicom uses a similar method. Their figure has the same sort of rubber molded suit. The early pics looks like separate plates but the final figure was/is very similar to the HT figure. Not sure why they don't go with the plates over a cloth suit approach. Maybe they couldn't get it to look right. The DCD figure certainly didn't look right.

That's one thing that keeps me from getting excited about the Sonar eyes, while the technology would add value to the set, there's just no way the figure will look as cool as the film effect, so it'll be a neat feature if included, but it won't feel like it's right out of the film when using it.

So far, the head's looking like it's better scaled to the body to match this.

I think the only big question mark is the depth, if they flattened out his profile and made a more natural form.

How would you pose your DX Batman with (potentially) AWESOME sonar eyes?

This is how I would pose my DX Batman with (potentially) AWESOME sonar eyes:

Sticky bomb gun + sonar eyes = a sum greater than its parts. Potentially.

It would at least be cooler than the pneumatic wrangler. lame.

Well you could also pose him getting his ass kicked by the Joker when he was using those eyes.

I blame that on Lucius. And Batman won that fight anyway. Maybe I can make a diorama of Batman hanging Joker upside down. I'd take a bit of creative liberty and have Batman wear his Sonar eyes just to rub it in.

I'd like a dio of joker on top of batman and batman about to launch his gauntlets

That gadget along with the scene is great, leave it alone. It's the first time when we see Batman in TDK. His appeareance accompanied with him crushing the rifle and the music is a great part of the film. One of the best parts even.

In fact, when I get my MMS DX I'm posing my OC Batman suit and Honor Guard Joker so it looks like Batman is crushing his rifle.

Oh, maybe I can replicate that scene with a 1/6 white van smacking Batman in the face and him subsequently flailing around whilst attached to said truck a few mere moments before making friends with a concrete divider. That scene was great, but it was only 5 seconds long. Why include it with the figure? (that was sarcasm)

dude, it's from the movie.... lets be mature here ok?

I wouldn't know, I've never seen The Dark Knight before. Thanks for spoiling the film for me. I didn't want to know that the Joker mounts Batman.

Come on, Hot Toys! Don't listen to the to the dissenters, sonar eyes are cool (if they were detachable or were part of a second cowl sculpt, which should not take the place of a Bruce Wayne sculpt to save on production costs. Addendum 2: The cost of said sonar eyes and their required light-up function should not significantly increase the price). It would be cool.

I agree, I'd much rather have sonar eyes than another Bruce Wayne head. They can save the Wayne head for their next Batman figure (either another TDK Batman or a Batman for the third film if Bale is still cast as him).
